The camp looks really nice and neat, good space between the pitches. Very nice café with great breakfast and lunch. The manager of the site is really nice, always available on the phone in case of any issue, strongly suggested.

A pleasant site convenient for Laurie Lee Wildlife Way and walks around Sheepscombe. The adjacent road is busy during the day but quieter later on. Facilities satisfactory but needs more toilets and there is only one washing up sink. Cafe on site for breakfast and lunch (although we didn't try it out).
Lovely green and well kept site

Very relaxed site, you check in yourself by checking the noticeboard at the gate to see what pitch you are on. We had an electric pitch which was shared by 2 other pitches, so a long 25m cable maybe required if you were either side. There are only 2 toilets and one shower for women, same for men, which might mean when it's peak season, there might be a queue. We had no problem as only half the pitches were used. The site has plenty of planting, some newly, so when matured will be nice. It was relaxed and we went to the café next door, which was nice. Think they need more customers to make it successful, please use as reasonable prices and good food. The only downside for the location was the road noise during the day, used as a race track, which was noisy at times, but not in evenings/night. Nothing the owners can do about this though. I would stay here again.

This was a spontaneous stay with the kids. It's a small site with café, which was open on the bank holiday Monday, although we didn't try it. Although small most pitches were taken. We had a grass pitch with no hook up. Plenty big enough and we were right next to the communal fire pits. The fire pits were both used that evening and our kids met some other children to play with. There was one shower and two toilets in the block. All very clean and good working order with a small kitchen area for cleaning. Our pitch cost £23. It is next to a road although not busy in the night cars do tend to drive quite fast past the site. We were pitch 10 which was next to the road. Next time I'd prefer to be the other side. Lovely site and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Really nice campsite. Stunning setting with bluebell woods right next to it. Clean facilities and easy check in. Only slight downside was the road was quite close by but this was no issue at night and there was a gate for safety during the day. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

We've never been to this site before. Although there is a road running nearby, it didn't seem particularly busy or noisy. We had a good stay for one night so a convenient stop before going on elsewhere. The facilities were fine - clean loos and warm showers. We didn't stop by at the café. There's a little track running downwards with what looks like lovely walks in a couple of directions with beautiful views - great for walkers, dogs etc.

The campsite is located in a beautiful valley made famous by Laurie Lee in 'Cider with Rosie' (the Woolpack Inn is just down the road in Slad and retains its authentic character whilst serving good food). There is great walking in this area and the nearest town, Stroud, is just a few miles away. The pitch size was excellent, as was the price for April. There isn't much privacy between pitches yet, but recently planted hedging will grow in time. The pitch wasn't manned during my stay but my pitch number was displayed on a board at the entrance. The site is licensed for 25 but with only one shower for women, if there were more campervans without facilities staying, there could be a wait. There's a small washing up area but I'd have liked some soap in the ladies! The road outside the site is a bit noisy during the day but traffic dies down at about 7.30 - 8.00 pm and the site was beautifully quiet at night.
