Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 An excellent and well run site with immediate access to Cannock Chase across the (busy) road. Plenty of room, and attentive management team made for a great weekend. A few more toilets/showers for a busy weekend would have useful, but they are all kept clean and tidy.
We will be back!

Solar eclipse night
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Had a great stay — the site did exactly what we needed. Booked first thing in the morning with no hassle. Big thanks to Donna at Cannock Chase Caravan and Camping Site for the recommendation. Perfect location for me and the lad: straight across the road into the Chase and we were on the trails in minutes. Managed a couple of brilliant bike routes, including one early this morning. Highly recommend.

Just stayed the one night to try out a tent after several years of caravan life! Have to say, I was impressed, so clean and tidy, lovely little shop with all the essentials for a breakfast! Milk, sugar, bread etc.
Then lots of camping bits and pieces just in case! Washing up stations, toilets and showers were spotless! Staff were so friendly day and went above and beyond to help everyone out! The only downside was a very rude group who waited until after last check to make noise and woke us up at 12 and kept us awake until 2. As adults, they should know better, its a family site. No, I didn't go out to them as I did not want to upset my disabled son.
But, I will return, it's a wonderful site! Birches Valley over the road is great too 👍

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Pleasant staff upon arrival where the young lady took me out into the field and pointed things out to me, water, toilets, showers and cycle entrances into the forest. The onsite shop has enough to survive on. Must be hard for them to stock as unsure on people's needs and requirements day by day.
Great to be given the choice of where I wanted to pitch up. Toilets and showers cleaned on a regular basis. Instant hot water made for the shower block.
Definitely back next year.
Great stay
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 We stayed as a big family of 7 adults and 4 infants. The staff were very helpful with setting up tent as we were setting up for the first time. Great male and female toilets and showers.
Directly opposite to cannock chase for family and couple to enjoy the forest and the other activities. Perfect spot to stay in, lots of space for kids and adults to run around on the campground.
Had a little shop where you could buy breakfast items along with camping equipment if needed.
Also very close to shops so we could go and buy food items.
Loved the views to the forest from our tent

Great location
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Brilliant site for space and location. Plenty of space for groups to pitch together and children to play. Very friendly staff.
From the campsite you cross over a busy main road (no path) and you are straight onto Cannock Chase and the Gruffalo trail. Toilets let the site down, not enough for the amount of people there. Understand they have to be temporary toilets as it's a pop up site, but they were blocked for most of the weekend.

Friendly site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 This is a basic pop up site but what they offer is great.
The staff on site were so friendly and welcoming. They loaned me a foot pump when mine broke and the little shop is stocked with the basics including some camping essentials. It's well kept and clean. Being directly opposite to a path onto the Gruffalo trail is brilliant because you're surrounded by beautiful countryside plus the mountain bike trails, a great little café, GoApe, outdoor table tennis etc.
Loads of room on the site, plenty of space between pitches. A range of people from from couples, singles, groups of friends and families. The children had so much room to play but everyone had them in by 10 and the site fell silent.
We slept incredibly well.
Quick overnighter
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Handy location; very friendly welcome. Plenty of space for a quiet overnight stop. Didn’t need hook up but the pitches looked good along the hedge line. Walked through the woods for 10 minutes to a pub with very good food.

Bell Tent - Standard Bell Tents (Dog Friendly) Aug 2024 We had an impromptu stay here for one night to break up a long journey, and wow, were we so pleasantly surprised. We hired one of their bell tents, which was so reasonably priced. The field and facilities were great, plenty of space near our tent and the shop on site had loads on offer.
As we were only there for one night we had little camping equipment and the pizzas on site were such a bonus. So delicious too. The highlight was the location, so close to the forest which was just over the road. A perfect break.
Perfectly located for exploring a woodland
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Booking the pitch was quick & easy. The contact emails with directions & site info was really useful and helpful.
On arrival, I was quickly booked in with a detailed explanation of the site & facilities. I picked a spot and it was lovely. The site was quite busy but with the forecast of good weather for the weekend - who wouldn't want to be outdoors!
The onsite shop, pizza oven, toilets, water & waste facilities were spot on - clean, tidy & well organised. Overall, I felt this was a gem of a site and although the pitch seemed expensive for a parking space (as my van is totally off grid), the location and setup is better than a lot of sites I've visited.
Unfortunately, there will always be the odd visitor who lets themselves down. On this occasion, it was a family who left their 2 barking dogs tied up to a fence whilst they went out and when they were on site, they let their dogs roam freely, which upset other families, their children & pets. Inevitably, their unsupervised Alsatian & Staffie freely did their business all over the field where children were playing. It's a shame some people don't understand the etiquette of a campsite.
I would visit again as I had a lovely & relaxed weekend.
Amazing stay
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Site was well run and staff were friendly. Other campers ruined it a bit by not respecting the amenities.
Not the campsites fault and they repaired that which was broken quickly.
Beautiful stay
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We only booked in for one night to see if my neighbours children would enjoy camping. Wow what a hit, this site is wonderful.
The staff were friendly, family orientated and willing to help. I had forgotten my mallet and they were keen to borrow me one and help.
The site was clean from toilets, shower blocks and even the pitches.
We had a wonderful time. The children are looking forward to more adventures. Will definitely be booking here again.
Really good
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Really good site toilets and showers are very very clean. They are cleaned all day constantly.
There was loud music from a nearby field, no fault of the campsite but I enjoyed it to be honest. There is so much space here. With a warden at night, it was safe for the kids to run around and play. We were able to park by the facilities far enough away, so it was quiet but was okay for the kids to pop to the toilet.
Enough room for the kids to play tennis and football without getting in peoples way. Super site, really good idea.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 The site was the perfect location for the Chase. Only downside was the very dangerous road to cross, but we were always with the kids so didn't cause us any issues.
For a pop up site, I was extremely impressed with the on site facilities, a shop (with ice creams in the heat was a definite winner), the clean toilets and showers. The views from our pitch were amazing and the electric pitch itself just great.
All around a super site, great location for the Chase and a great holiday.
Fantastic place to stop for a blast around Cannock
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Great location for us lot to go to Cannock on the bikes. They allow vans on site and for many people that daily drive vans to accommodate for mountain bikes in the back, it's perfect.
Clean facilities and decent showers, ones that actually soak you in water instead of trickling it out :D
The on-site pizza van is just what you need after a long day. They even do pudding pizzas which sounds questionable but wow, try one for yourself. Thank you David and Lea for providing a top notch service.
Great pop-up site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Really excellent stay here, staff were friendly and helpful, facilities clean and well-maintained.
Tonnes of space to pitch and pick your own spot. Bonus we got to watch the Olympic opening ceremony in a great atmosphere and safe space for the kids. Would recommended to locals and visitors to the area.
A wonderful campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Booked on a whim for ease of visiting the concerts on in the evening at the chase.
Absolutely wonderful set up with staff who couldn't do enough for you. On site showers, some electric hook ups, catering on site, pop up coffee, tea, snacks and breakfast baps etc and all very reasonably priced.
I couldn't think of one thing that they hadn't thought of, a credit to pop up camping.
Well done, I will be back.
Excellent overnight stay
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Such a lovely welcome by the hosts. Toilets cleaned regularly. Nice flat field with freedom to choose your pitch. Handy shop on site and they were showing Glastonbury! What more could you want?!
Another great stay
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 We came here last year without knowing the music was on and we had a great time, so booked again this year, we loved it again. We could hear the music, it was a nice background noise to the lovely setting.
We took our dog and he also had a great time, it's handing having the forest right next door for walks.
The staff were lovely and the facilities are clean, the small shop came in really handy too!

Stunning location
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Stayed for our first time camping as a family of 4. Campsite is in the most gorgeous location, it really is so picturesque. Lots of beautiful places to walk very close by.
Campsite was extremely clean and well maintained, facilities included very clean and well kept toilets & showers, a pop up shop that had all your basic needs from water, food to camping supplies you may have forgotten. There was a burger van too, we didn't try the burgers, but did indulge the fries, which were freshly cooked and beautiful.
Site itself was very well looked after and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our kids (4&9) had the best time, with plenty of space around our tent. Will definitely come back to the site for future stays. Highly recommend.
