Beautiful location on the edge of the South Downs. Quiet peaceful campsite. Cheap and cheerful. Owner was very nice and helpful. Downside, Toilets were all full the morning of my last day. Bit of a shame that people can't respect facilities! Showers are fair. At the end of the day, it's £12.50 a night, so you get what you pay for. I will camp there again.

This is my second time at the site, it's a great campsite with excellent and clean facilities. I love the fire pit that can be hired; and appreciate the pizza and breakfast. The staff are very welcoming. I would definitely go back.

Our first camping experience and it was overall great, no complaints. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned regularly and the pizza was also excellent 👌🏻

Nice site. My only gripe would be people with loose dogs everywhere. We have a dog ourselves but continued to have dogs come over, one of which cocked his leg up our awning. Apart from that, a lovely, friendly site.

A wonderful setting on the edge of the South Downs. Perfect for walking & visiting Eastbourne & nearby villages. Friendly, helpful staff. Takeaway pizza & breakfast available. Fire pits to hire with wood. We found it very quiet & perfect for a relaxing weekend way! Will definitely be back again soon!

Great site, easy to find and very relaxed. Easy and quick check-in. Big field with lots of space. Close to some good pubs for food and friendly team on-site. The toilets were working and fairly clean but at £35 for 3 of us, we left very happy! Firepits to rent and logs for sale too.

This was a nice place to stay for a night with lovely scenic walks and a railway station nearby. Very friendly welcome, staff with great local knowledge and a small shop with nice ice creams and essentials. Only downside was the toilet and shower blocks, which were really dirty and needed a lot of attention in terms of cleaning.

Nice campsite but services could be better

Toilets and bathrooms could be in better conditions. Shower curtains are not needed. There could be more washing stations (people queued). And firepits could be cheaper.

We are a non-driving family and we picked this site as it was easy for us to get to without a car. The site office was closed when we arrived on Thursday, but I was sent a text to let me know, with a contact number if I needed anything. Fridays and Saturdays they sell hot pizzas and refreshments and in the morning they sell breakfast baps and tea and coffee. We had pizzas on Friday night which were hot, delicious and speedily made. The facilities were cleaned every morning. Due to its location, we had a convenience store about 4mins away along with a café, which we frequented. We took a bus from there to visit Eastbourne for the day, which was just a half hour ride. Just outside the gates of the site, there's a lovely woodland path, which was great for us and our dog to have a beautiful nature walk. I couldn't recommend this site enough for location. We will definitely visit again.

Quiet field on the edge of the Southdowns. Port-a-cabin type showers/toilets, plenty of them and clean. Very reasonable price if it's just a couple of you. Park up where you like, plenty of space.
Perfect 1 night camping.

Perfect 1 night camping, close to lots of lovely coastline along the South Downs way. Easily found a secluded spot on the camp grounds and were able to rent a fire pit. Good facilities, everything you need - as you expect camping, toilets a little dirty but fine. We enjoyed our stay :)

Very large field with good toilets, showers and outdoor washing-up area. Helpful staff. Pizza van & cafe at peak weekends. Fire pits and logs available. Plenty of space even though it was busy. Close to A27 & A22 (Eastbourne, Battle, Bexhill, Hastings). Felt very comfortable as a single female camper.

The staff could not be nicer, more helpful or pleasant. Most certainly one of the more family friendly sites we have stayed at Ground is stone free, so no bent tent pegs on this trip and great if you have dogs. On site pizza and food is okay, pizza is more crust than pizza and the chicken strips were not the best ever, but a minor.
Fine enough for short stays

Overall the campsite was fine enough for the couple of days we were there. I personally would not go back. The good: Location made it easy to get to beachy head and other local attractions. A lovely pizza truck. Always had toilet roll in the loos. Warm water for washing up. The owner was very friendly and helpful at check in The bad: It was generally extremely busy and cramped. The field itself is large but quickly filled up. The 10pm noise curfew was not adhered to by many. The owner did ask for speakers to be turned off, but not until around 10:45. The hygiene and cleanliness of the men's toilets was poor throughout our stay. As soon as you enter the campsite, you are able to smell the toilets, though it does disappear if you camp far enough away. Around 8 ladies toilets for what seemed like 100+ people. Multiple times, there was a queue. The cleanliness of the toilets was generally very poor. Covered in grass and bugs, with many blocked at multiple times of the day. One sink out of approximately 4 was out of order and the others had barely warm water. Showers are rather small. Only one drinking water tap for the whole campsite. Lots of large groups. Many unsupervised children running in and out of the toilets. I think you get what you pay for essentially - useable, but not pleasant facilities in a decent location. If you are looking for a campsite to accommodate a large group and not have to worry about noise, then this may be for you. But if you want a semi-peaceful few nights away with clean facilities, possibly not.

Great location, good pretty field. Food was quite expensive, not alot of stock in shop. Shop also only open certain times. Showers are push button and not very powerful. Toilets and showers were not cleaned as often as other sites we have been. Beautiful views around field but would be better if trees were trimmed back a bit so you cab see and appreciate the views.

Good overall. Toilet/shower facilities could have been better and a bit cleaner. Check in and service of staff was great. Good fire pit hire option, which we took advantage of. Food tent during our stay (Fri + Sat night) was good option. We tried the pizza and it was great to be able to eat pizza around a campfire. My wife's first time camping (city girl) and she said she'd go again, so it ticked the boxes overall.

What an amazing campsite, you can pitch anywhere on the field. The facilities are okay, beautiful pizzas and breakfast, which are cooked by Harry and his partners. Beautiful views from the campsite, very dog friendly. Harry and Tom and Riff were absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough to help you. If you've got a problem, they were polite and just what a lovely place, definitely going back one million percent. All the best eating places, the best shops. Overall, excellent value for money. This campsite gives you so much for free.
