About the site

This small family-run site is conveniently located approximately 200m from the main Upper Largo to St Andrews Road (A915) and is a great base for a rural, adult only getaway. Enjoy stunning coastal views whilst surrounded by open countryside and active farmland at this quiet retreat. The site offers a range of pitches, all with a sea view! Campers and those with roof tents are able to choose from non electric or electric pitches with 10 amp hook ups. There are also non-electric backpacker grass pitches suitable for those travelling on foot or by bicycle and staying in a small tent. For tourers and motorhomes, you'll find fully serviced hardstanding pitches, just to make life a little easier, after all, you are on holiday! Each pitch is generously sized and spaced out with 10 amp electric, an independent private spring water supply, and a grey waste drain. Please note that the site is not suitable for large group bookings. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead whilst on site. Your dog must also be tattooed or microchipped. Open fires are permitted in raised pits, and BBQs must also be raised.

Guests have access to male and female heated toilets and showers, as well as vanity cubicles with hairdryers, shaving points, and hooks. An accessible toilet and shower are also available. There is a small laundry room featuring a washing machine and an outdoor drying facility for a small charge. A washing up area can be located outside with draining areas under shelter. Free WiFi is available.

There is a motorhome service point. Due to the site's rural location, it operates a wastewater treatment plant and encourages the use of organic toilet fluid.

For essentials and treats, a small honesty shop is available onsite, or a Premier and Blacketyside Farm Shop is a ten minute drive. A bus stop is within walking distance of the site, and St Andrews is a 20 minute drive for places to eat.

Stayed at the Forth House Caravan Site in my renault traffic campervan. It was a very windy day and we had problems erecting the awning and also some areas of the hardstanding were too hard to get the rock pegs in, despite using a drill. The staff were very helpful and moved us to a more sheltered area. I also managed to break my electric hook up, don't ask, and Jim the warden was there again to help by giving us a spare one to use during our stay. Facilities were outstanding, clean showers and toilets with lovely finishing touches likes fresh flowers and lovely hand soap and hand cream. The shower block was warm also and just very welcoming with hooks for coats and towels so you could get dressed without worrying about putting your clothes etc on the floor. Immaculate campsite with great views of the coastline.

A note from the site themselves...

We first opened our site in 1996 and were limited to only five campers. Our desire has always been to share our peaceful, rural environment and spectacular views with others.

From here we have sympathetically developed and expanded our site to provide fully serviced pitches and facilities. Our layout is spacious and everyone is guaranteed to have rural and coastal views - a camping amphitheatre overlooking the Firth of Forth with dramatic seasonal views and sunsets.
