Oakhill Leisure is a great location for those looking to get away from it all. Located close to Lincoln and Newark, yet well away from busy living - the whole reason you're going camping! There's an expansive fishing lake here and plenty of woodland to explore - with pets welcome too. Open year round.

About Oakhill Leisure
Oakhill Leisure is close to the historic market town of Newark and the cathedral city of Lincoln. Set within 70 acres of managed woodlands, lake and fields, you're free to roam, relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There are 20 touring pitches with electric hook ups, all on well cut and maintained grass. Tents are also welcome and there are grassed non electric pitches for campers. Ask to pitch up in one of the rally fields, sorry no electric hook up here, and you will be well away from it all. A 20-30 minute walk takes you around the fishing lake, woodlands and fields on site and makes the perfect excuse for some daily exercise. If you can't be bothered to pitch your own tent, try the site's glamping arc ready tent which overlooks the fishing lake. It sleeps two comfortably with two sofa beds, a barbecue fridge and microwave. There is a lovely outdoor area with table and chairs provided overlooking the lake.
Oakhill Leisure is open all year round.
Please note that there are no electric hook-ups available to tent users.
The facilities (including disabled) have underfloor heating and plenty of showers and hot water. The laundry room is equipped with washer and dryer as well as a dressing table with sockets for your dryer and tongs and there is a socket provided for your mobile. Fire pit hire available and WiFi is provided. Caravan and motorhome storage is available.
Nearby, Witham St Hughs and Bassingham both have a pub, Bassingham has a Spar shop with butchers, deli and a post office.

We stayed for 4 nights in September, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The facilities were very modern and looked brand new. All areas were kept spotlessly clean and these were maintained throughout the day. In terms of the facilities, this is the nicest campsite we have stayed at. The site is secluded, however, about a ten minute drive away there are supermarkets and pubs. The site was also well located for day trips to Nottingham, Leicester and Lincoln. We would definitely visit again.

We stayed here for 1 night as a stop over when visiting family to get the kids out in nature as apose to being stuck in a hotel. We were very impressed with there facilities, they were very clean and felt luxurious, made you almost forget you were camping. The staff were very friendly and were on hand to assist in any way. This is a great place for anything from 1 night to a few weeks. I would highly recommend staying here especially for the price. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Things to do on site and in the Lincoln area
On site, fishing is popular - especially for carp weighing in at up to a mighty 35lb. There is plenty of space for dog walks among 70 acres of fields and woodland. Just how far can you throw that ball?
Weather permitting, an egg hunt can be booked for Easter Sunday - little ones taking part are sure to get a chocolatey treat!
