About Painters Farm Campsite
This family friendly site is well positioned being only five minutes from the historic town of Faversham with its abundance of quirky shops, quayside stalls, cafes, pubs and estuary walks. Its idyllic location on The Kent Downs makes it a great base for nature lovers. There are 16 non electric grass pitches and 30 electric grass pitches for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes to choose from, with 16 amp electric hook ups. Only 20 minutes from Canterbury with its elegant cathedral and 20 minutes along the coast to Whitstable, this is a lovely choice for both countryside and coast-loving holiday makers. Fire pits are available to hire on site, and BBQs are permitted, as long as they are raised off the ground. Dogs are allowed on site, just please keep them on the lead and clean up after them.
Painters Farm Campsite is open from 01/03 to 31/10.
Site facilities include modern flushing toilets, hot showers, a washing up area and laundry. Fresh water taps are dotted about the field and farm buildings.
Walk just a couple of minutes through the village to Faversham where you'll find the local pub, The Alma, serving food throughout the year and a range of good ales too. For food and supplies, there is an Aldi a ten minute drive away.

Only stayed here one night, but was greeted by the owners on arrival. Was shown the facilities and my plot, which was situated on the edge of the field. The park was busy, but no loud discerning noises and I slept like a log. Facilities were very good and kept exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay again in the future.

We were welcomed onto the site by the lovely Karen and Simon. They were warm and informative from the start. A lovely site, which was quiet when we stayed. It has good facilities, even a small shop. A wander down the lane led us to a pub, where we were served a really nice pint and the dogs were welcome. Although we had lots of rain and there were no hardstanding pitches on site, we were helped on and off our pitch each day, without any complaints. We shall definitely return in the summer, we still feel there's lots to explore in the area. Faversham was really nice, Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Sheerness were all within easy distance. Thank you Karen and Simon for being great campsite hosts.

The area offers good opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding and bird watching as it is located in The Kent Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Canterbury is only 20 minutes away with its World Heritage Sites and well documented history, all you would expect from a medium sized city for shopping and eating out. Visit the cathedral, St Augustine's Abbey or stroll along the river
