About Strawberry Skys Yurts

Your setting is a charming smallholding which stretches over 10 acres and lies close to the Welsh border - making both Wales and England yours to explore! Each of the three yurts and glamping cabin are fully furnished with beds and futons supplied inside, electric lights, a kettle and the warmth of a woodburner so that you're sure to be toasty. The cosy and furnished Ash is ideal for a couple but can sleep a family of four. Cedar cabin is also ideal for couples who are wanting a little more space - but can sleep a family of six if required. Oak and Cherry are traditional canvas yurts but are fully insulated. These are available from late Spring to Autumn. Oak is actually formed of two yurts joined together, so you have two separate "rooms" - making it ideal for a large family with space for two adults and up to four children. Cherry is a traditional yurt, ideal for a couple of a family of four. Each Yurt includes a private fire pit, benches and BBQ. Dogs are welcome.

Strawberry Skys Yurts is open from 22/03 to 03/11.

A note from the site themselves...

Welcome to Strawberry Skys Yurts, where our dream to escape our busy city lives in exchange for a tranquil camping haven in the heart of Wales, became a reality. Back in 2006, a chance camping experience at a music festival made us rethink everything. We left our London life behind, sold our house, and found this idyllic spot which stole our hearts.

Since our humble beginnings, we've embraced the beauty of country life alongside our two sons. We're passionate about glamping and proud to have previously been featured in The Guardian's Ten Best Glamping Sites, just three years after opening in 2008.

Welcoming guests to our yurts is our joy. Seeing familiar faces return each season, often with new additions to their families, is a privilege. We can't wait to share the magic of Strawberry Skys Yurts with you. See you soon under the Welsh skies, Eric and Anya

Yurt - Oak YurtApr 2024

Just got back from a 2 night stay in the double yurt with my mum an 4 children. This place is a hidden gem, Anya and her husband are so welcoming and have done amazing. They provided everything you need for a luxury camping holiday! We didn't want to come home and we are already looking at dates for going back ❤️ I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough.

Great place to stay.

Glamping Cabin - Cedar CabinApr 2024

We stayed at Strawberry Skys Yurts for 3 night, over the Easter break and it was delightful! The yurt itself was gorgeous, clean, spacious and still very cosy; the log burner really gave that lovely warmth(we stayed in the Cedar cabin). Eric met is on arrival and showed us around, he was friendly and was happy to help in any way. When booking, Eric amd Anya send a guest book via email, which has all the information you need to know- we found the very useful and didn't need to bother the hosts with questions ect. But we knew they were happy to help should we need them. The location was perfect for us - facing beautiful hills and countryside, where we could watch the sun set. We weren't looking for an action packed break so we mainly stayed in site and made use of their facilities, like the outdoor pizza oven and the rope swing. 😀. If you're looking for a base, while you go off and explore Wales, I'd say there's not really much in and around the town- we did take a 40 minute drive to a beautiful waterfall walk but we were happy to just be at one with the outdoorsy nature of the site. It was a fantastic stay and we will be booking again.
