A note from the site themselves...
Here at Oakwood Farm we are lucky enough to have easy accessibility to some of the best areas and top attractions in the North West and North Wales and we love to be able to share these special places with our guests from all over the UK and beyond and being able to provide them with an excellent, safe friendly place to stay is what we are always striving for.
After opening in 2016 we have constantly been on a learning curve, we love to listen to guest experiences not only from our site but from others they have stayed at as this helps us strive for top reviews and to constantly keep growing. A happy guest is a happy Oakwood Farm! :)
Level grass pitches for camping, with 16amp electric hook-up.
18 x Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches
Max 6 people
Hardstanding pitches for tourers and motorhomes with 16amp electric hook up, water and grey waste point. Pitches measure approx 9m x 6m with an adjacent grassed area. Awnings can be used on these pitches.
This is a neat, clean, peaceful site. Large hard standing pitches surrounded by manicured grass with EHU and water provided for each pitch. Secure site, protected by electronic gates with entrance and exit controlled by code. Toilets, showers and washing up facilities do need upgrading, though. Only a short drive into the beautiful and interesting historic city of Chester. Shop, Greggs and Starbucks only a five minute walk away. Cafe on site, but this is not open on Mondays.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024
Lovely little campsite. Tents are on grass, in the middle of the site. Large pitch sizes with electric and water. Staff very friendly, toilets are basic but very clean. Looks like they are building a new shower block which would be a great asset to the site. Yes, you can hear the traffic, at night, from the busy road behind the campsite but it didn’t bother us at al we slept really well. Dog walk straight off the campsite and Chester is only about a 7min drive away. We will definitely return.
Site's response
Hi Brian,
Thank you so much for your review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to meet you both and of course your 2 lovely dogs.
We hope to see you here again in the near future.
Best wishes
Oakwood Farm Team
Excellent experience. The only downside is if you don't like traffic noise, it's not for you. There is a main road and motorway nearby, I'm deaf as a door post so it was OK for me!
Café onsite did a great breakfast.
