About Willenhall Way
Nestled away in the Shropshire countryside, this peaceful family and dog friendly touring and camping site is ideally located just five minutes from Ellesmere. There are non electric grass pitches for both tents and tourers. All pitches measure at least 10m x 10m and allow up to six people per pitch. With a spacious covered veranda that acts as a shared eating space as well as the kid's play area, this is a lovely spot for families to pitch up. The site also offers seasonal pitches. Boat trips on the mere, a sculpture trail to explore in the park or simply feeding the ducks all take place in this delightful little town. Shropshire Union Canal tow paths are a five-minute walk from the site and footpaths stem in five directions, varying in length from 1.5 miles to 7 miles. A maximum of two dogs are allowed per pitch for an additional cost, just please ensure they remain on the lead. There's even a dog shower available. Campfires are not permitted. BBQs are allowed only when raised off the grass.
Willenhall Way is open from 01/03 to 31/10.

The closest pub The Sun Inn is a one minute drive or 15 minute walk away, but please note that this is along the A495. Ellesmere is a ten minute drive away and has several supermarkets including a Londis, Tesco and Co-op.

This campsite is quiet, relaxing and extremely welcoming. There is plenty of space for children to play and there's also a lovely play area with items to encourage imaginative play. The facilities were spotless and warm - even my children had a shower! The ice cream on site was a lovely bonus. The site felt very safe for our family. It was our first time camping and we were made to feel very welcome. Other campers we're really friendly and ready to help. Ellesmere was a lovely trip out with kids. Would recommend.

I'm a novice campervan owner and had my first proper stay in my new van at Willenhall last week, accompanied by two of my more seasoned friends :-) The site is just fabulous. Spacious, extremely well kept, plenty of room, and the facilities were brand new and spotless. According to my friends I've been totally spoilt and nowhere else will match up! We had the pleasure of meeting Lin (owner/host) in the morning and she couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming. Our only regret is that we couldn't hang around longer for the ice cream she mentioned ;-) We had a very nice evening meal in the local pub which was about 15 -20 mins stroll down the road. Lovely beer garden too if the weather is nice. We'll definitely be back. Thank you Lin and Rog.

The hosts were so friendly and lovely. The toilets were spotless (and I mean spotless!) The shower was wicked, I really didn't want to get out of it. There was loads of room in the toilet and shower cubicles. I would definitely go back there again.

Things to do on site and in the Welshampton area
Give the water a go and try your hand at paddleboarding, wild swimming or the inflatable water course at Alderford Lake, just an easy ten minute drive away. Alternatively, take to the trees at BeWILDerwood Cheshire (20 minutes) and swing between rope courses and slides.
Visit the stunning National Trust Erddig estate 30 minutes away just outside of Wrexham. With an incredible country house and idyllic gardens, this is a lovely day out.
