Set in the Derbyshire countryside near the Trent and Mersey Canal, Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Site offers a peaceful family and dog friendly getaway. There are grass and hardstanding tent and touring pitches, with the option of an electric hook up or fully serviced pitch. Glampers can choose from pods and bell tents with private hot tubs. It is a ten minute walk to a pub, within easy reach of the A50 and 35 minutes from the Peak District.

Nice site near Derby a short walk from the canal. Site has a mix of grass, electric, and glamping pods / tents (some of which have hot tubs). There is a shower block with both inside units and some external wooden toilets and showers. It was very busy when we visited but still was quiet by about 10 o'clock. There is a food van, which was decent although we only had the chips.

This was the perfect get away. Prices reflect the area and are extremely fair. Feels like a world away from anywhere, but you're actually very close. Very well kept site too!

We had a great time. Facilities are great, bell tents are great and the service was great too! I loved that it was 25 mins away but an escape for a couple of days with friends. Got the teenagers of their phones .. mostly! Walked to the pub down the canal and visited Staunton Harold. Fab couple of days.

We loved everything about our stay, the location was lovely. One day we took a long walk down the river and stopped in some pubs along the way, which was so lovely and exactly what we wanted. The food van on site was so good. We never made it back for food in the evening, but we had a breakfast from there most mornings and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this campsite.

Beautiful glamping pod with seating and hot tub under cover and then additional seating and bbq area. We stayed in this beautiful pod and very much enjoyed our stay. The heating and kitchen facilities in the pod were great! Lots of space to relax. It's great that's there is somewhere to purchase cooked meals from on site between certain times we just didn't use it ourselves. Friendly helpful staff. Very happy with our stay.

The 1st night was nice and peaceful, then the caravan owner next door arrived and parked across the front of our tent, blocking our view. The caravan owner played his radio very loudly through the night, causing us to have no sleep.

We arrived at Hill Farm and received a warm welcome, together with details of the facilities on site. The site was clean and well laid out. We had a hardstanding, fully serviced pitch, everything worked well. We checked the showers and toilets on site, which were kept very clean. There is a food van operating in the morning and evening, the prices are very good and the food very nice. There was also a visit twice a day from an ice cream van, which was well liked. A lovely walk along the canal a short stroll away is a must on a nice evening. We would definitely stay again.

Brilliant site with plenty of space. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Very peaceful, lots of walks. The nearby village is only a 10 minute walk and the pub really good for other food and drinks. The site does get very booked up in holiday time.

Lovely campsite lovely owner, very helpful with supplying a lead extension for the electric hook up. A few dogs that were off the leads and running around, which is more to do with the dog owners rather than the campsite owner. Overall, a great place and will be back.

It is right on our doorstep and perfect for the 1 night bringing the grandchildren. Lovely site, booked last minute to bring the grandchildren just for the night. Very safe for the children to run free and good facilities. Snack wagon was great for breakfast.

Had a great stay, large spacious site. Great location for lovely canal side walks. Short walk to two pubs. The onsite snack shack is a fab addition. Good facilities. Busy weekend but plenty of open space. Some road noise but feels like you're out in the countryside otherwise. Will revisit.

Just bought our first motorhome (after renting for years) so wanted a little away time to find out what was needed and learn about our new home from home. The site was close enough to home to travel back easily if any issues, but far enough away to relax. We found the site wonderful, plenty of space, clean and staff very helpful. The food shack was certainly popular! Shower and toilet facilities great and located well. Had everything we needed and more. Because it is so close to home, we may not visit again, but will certainly recommend to friends. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Tara was lovely from before arrival giving me clear directions in when towing, to when I left and very kindly helped me out the narrow entrance - thank you so much. Only reason for not rating as 5 throughout was due to a cold shower this morning, no matter what i did in the lovely shower block, i could not get the shower to heat up. The location was great for a 1 night stopover when travelling North.

We stayed for one night and had a fantastic time. Hot tub was lovely and warm when we arrived, as was the glamping pod. Fridge sink and microwave where plenty for what you needed. We are 100% going to book again later in the year when hopefully the weather will be better Thank you

We had an absolutely amazing time here. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and the facilities were beautiful, the weather could have been better, lol. I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone, such a perfect place to spend time and make memories.

We booked this glamping pod for a night away as a family. We had been sent a text previous to our arrival to say what pod we were staying in, post code etc. and the hot tub was warming up. We arrived on a very windy and wet day but the location is fab, it feels remote without being too remote. Hot tub was lovely, they did come and top up the wood stove to keep it warm for us as well. We all slept great and the toilet and shower facilities were in great condition too.

Had the pleasure of staying here. A beautiful location, we came for our anniversary and we now wish we booked more than 1 night! It was warm and cosy, the shower facilities was spacious and clean, would highly recommend! Thank you so much!
