Great for young families
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2025 We are relatively local to the area, only 25 minutes drive from home.
However, after purchasing our new RV last year, we hadn't really used it much! We wanted a pitch that was accessible without being too far off the beaten track as its a large camper. Although you can hear some road noise, it's in keeping with the area and went quiet throughout the night so didn't bother us. A couple of minutes walk to nearby Greenlands Farm was great, as was the local pub. Some lovely walks also nearby and the on-site facilities were very clean and practical. Each hard-standing pitch had a lovely grass side for the awning (which we never actually needed to put up!) The children were very safe to move around and play, with the electronic gate system, it felt very secure.
The only slightly tricky parts we had was the low ampage, which you are forewarned about, so boiling the kettle was a bit of a no-no! The other niggle for us was the waste water disposal. The facilities there are available and accessible, just not as much for the large American RV trailer we have! However we appreciate we are a big exception to the normal rule!
We would absolutely stay again, the children loved it. Despite being close to home, it felt like we could have been anywhere on holiday and we would absolutely recommend.

Lovely place to stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2025 Great location, lovely facilities, clean and peaceful.
Our only issue was with the broadband - we did everything we should, shut off our data etc. We were on plot 5, and whenever a van (large or small) parked next to us, the Wi-Fi was really not great. We noticed this as when we came back from the farm shop in the afternoon, our Wi-Fi strength shot up.
But we really did enjoy staying and visiting the farm shop complex down the road. Was very restful, showers were great too!

We appreciate your feedback and comments. Not sure what the WIFI issue was having followed our steps when using WIFI sorry... we did not have any other guest issues with the WIFI and couldn't find any network/equipment issues etc...

A night near Lancaster
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2025 A nice clean site for a one night stopover near Lancaster. Good facilities, small bit of road noise which goes as the evening goes on. Also, it's quite secure.

Clean, well kept, nice campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2025 Site is very clean and tidy, shower blocks etc were nice, grounds well kept.
The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars for location is that it is quite close to the road, so you do hear traffic noise - you can't see the road, the hedges are really high, but you did hear it.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2025 This site is a perfect location as just off M6.
We stopped here one night on way to Scotland. This site is such a lovely place. The grounds were immaculate, and the amenities were clean and excellent. Piped music in amenities is a lovely touch. Good communication from owners with map and pitch number plus access code to site so we knew exactly where to go as we arrived in the dark.
Highly recommended!
