Just a five minute walk from Porth Trecastell beach, Camp Bongo is a relaxed adult only campsite offering guests a festival-like experience! From the horsebox bar serving up tasty cocktails to the visiting food trucks and activities, there's never a dull moment at this site. There are 150 non electric grass pitches, suitable for tents, trailer tents and roof tents, with three of these for campervans and motorhomes! Your pups are welcome.

About the site

Offering guests a festival-like experience, this site is ideally located for those hoping to explore Anglesey's breathtaking coastline with two great beaches less than a ten minute walk away! Spend evenings watching the sunset from the site's horsebox bar while enjoying the evening entertainment. The site is home to 150 non electric grass pitches for tents, roof tents, and trailer tents. All pitches are suitable for up to five people and have space for parking. In the evenings, guests don't need to worry about cooking with a visiting food truck (please note, this is subject to change each weekend) and the horsebox bar. Here, guests can have a range of delicious cocktails and refreshing pints! The site also provides a range of activities, from cocktail making classes and whisky tasting to painting lessons in the sun on bank holidays, there's always something going on! Make sure to book these directly prior to arrival as they are subject to availability. There is also entertainment offered in the evenings. Paddleboarding and kayaking is also available, just be sure to book prior to arrival as this is subject to availability. For those hoping to enjoy dinner al fresco, open fires in fire pits and raised BBQs are permitted. If you're planning on making a fire, the fuel, logs or coal have to be purchased on site. There are also fire pits to rent on site too. Your dogs are more than welcome to come along, with up to two pups allowed per pitch!

There are composting toilets, cold water showers, a washing up area, and drinking water taps onsite. The horsebox bar is onsite, serving up a range of tasty cocktails and beers, and the site often hosts local food vendors.

There is entertainment each night, and in the daytime, there are a range of activities offered from cocktail-making courses to painting lessons in the sun on bank holidays. Make sure to book these directly as they are subject to availability.

The village of Rhosneigr is a five minute drive away and here guests can find a range of pubs and restaurants, such as the Oyster Catcher. For grabbing the essentials, the nearest shop is Spar - Wayside Stores, which is a 30 minute walk from the site.

What time is check-in and check out at Camp Bongo?

Guests are able to check-in from 1pm until 8pm, if you are going to be delayed please let the site know. Check out is due before noon on your last day.

Is Camp Bongo dog-friendly?

Yes, up to two dogs are permitted to join you, just please ensure they are kept on a lead and supervised at all times.

Does Camp Bongo allow BBQs and campfires?

Campfires in raised fire pits and BBQs that are raised off the ground are permitted - except in hot and dry weather. Please note that fuel must be purchased onsite.

Does Camp Bongo allow awnings, gazebos or pup tents?

Yes, you're welcome to bring an awning or a gazebo with you free of charge, but sorry no pup tents.

Does Camp Bongo allow group bookings?

This site caters for families and couples only, and does not accept group bookings of five or more pitches or single sex bookings of 15+, this includes no hen and stag parties.

Can I park near my pitch at Camp Bongo? Or Is there parking adjacent to the pitch?

One car is permitted to be parked by your pitch.

The pitches at Camp Bongo do not have an electric hook up.

No, sorry there is no WiFi access at this site.

There isn't a shop onsite but there is a SPAR just a 30 minute walk from the site.

There is a bar and coffee and pastries available onsite in the morning and a food vendor in the evening. Alternatively, the village of Rhosneigr is a five minute drive away with pubs and restaurants.
