Resparva House Touring Park is an adult only and dog friendly camping and touring site. Located in Chapel Town Summercourt just off A30, it offers the perfect base in the centre of Cornwall.

About the site

Resparva House is a small, family-run site for adults only (pet dogs are most welcome, and even the odd cat or two!). The site is located at Chapel Town, on the edge of the village Summercourt. It's an excellent base for exploring the county, with easy access if pulling a caravan, and no narrow lanes to worry about. There are 13 pitches, all with electric hook ups and eight with hard standing. All pitches are level and well spaced, with shrubs adding privacy between each one. A complimentary pot of tea or coffee is served on arrival!

Facilities include recently updated free hot showers with shaver points and hair dryers, a washing up area, use of washing machine, and chemical disposal. Free WiFi is available on site, along with a borrow or swap book corner which also has a few games to borrow.

A store in the nearby village provides essentials and papers, and there is a good local pub - the London Inn. A short walk away, a farm sells fresh eggs (and you'll find quiet lanes to exercise your dog). A bus stop outside the site goes into Truro or Newquay. A further stop in the village can take you to St Austell.

13 x Camping and Touring Pitches

All pitches level with grass and electric, measuring approximately 11 metres square. Eight pitches have hard standing for your caravan, touring motorhome or car, allowing grass for awnings.

Site rules and policies

Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and be considerate to others around you.

Do not exercise your pet on site there is a lane and pavement to the village.

BBQ's permitted but please take care not to burn grass.

Things to do on site and in the Newquay area

Loyal guests tend to return to Resparva House because of the location. It's easy to get to anywhere in the county, with its unspoilt coastal walks and beautiful sandy beaches for surfing or a swim.

The towns of Truro, St Ives, Penzance, Marazion and Falmouth (take a ferry to St Mawes) are popular. As is the Camel Trail cycle route from Padstow to Wadebridge - one of the many local trails (Bissoe cycle path and Pentewan Trail included).

Attractions to visit include Tintagel, Trerice (National Trust), Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium, Eden Project.

Golfers can enjoy a round at Newquay, Perranporth and Lanhydrock near Bodmin. For a real adventure, take a flight to the Isles of Scilly for a day, or try your hand at sea fishing.
