Clear filters Excellent find
Motorhome - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2023 What a lovely find. Perfect setting. Peace, quiet and stunning views over Loch Linnhe. An added bonus, that I didn't realise when booking was the Jacobite (Harry Potter) steam train runs underneath the bridge leading into the site. Perfect picture opportunity. Bonus.
Excellently situated for Fort William, Glenfinnan and the charming small harbour town of Mallaig.
The only slight downside were the showers. They were a little bit tired and dated but, a bonus was the addition of a bath. Clean enough at eye level but, very dusty with loads of cobwebs a little higher. Not a reason to put anyone off just the reason why I gave 3 stars for cleanliness. The site itself was immaculate.
Black waste room was, without a doubt, the best we have used. Very helpful and friendly staff, although I may be biased as they loved my German Shepherd.

Lovely site
Single Axle Caravan - Medium Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2023 We stayed here for two nights on our road trip, mainly to go on the Jacobite Steam Train. Lovely site, easy check in, good facilities and a lovely loch to walk on only a few feet from our pitch, would recommend.

Lovely stay
VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2023 Only stayed for the night but lovely campsite, we were close to the toilet/shower block so that was ideal. Could overlook the lake, which was beautiful, and checking in was straightforward, as well as finding our plot. Would recommend and would defo come back.

Location next to the Loch & spot on for watching the sun go down. Quiet.
The same problem with larger sites
VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2023 A lovely location with stunning scenery and friendly staff.
It's spoilt by the same problem of all larger sites. "Light pollution", both around the site, and some of the visiting vans running powerful LED lights well into the night for no apparent reason. Static caravans occupying most of the shoreline, making limited access to the pebble beach.
Numerous waste bin areas in discreet locations and well maintained. Nicely maintained shower and toilet block. Loads of drinking water locations.

Single Axle Caravan - Medium Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2023 Very quiet place. Very nice ladies at the reception, hot water in the shower, clean, two playgrounds for children, and close to Fort William. I recommend it, we will come back.

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 We had a brilliant stay here in the summer.
It was easy to check in and we really liked the fact that we could pick a pitch. There was plenty of room to pitch our tent and the views over the loch were great. We also loved the beach that we could walk to very easily - perfect for our dog!
There were plenty of showers and toilets, which were kept clean throughout our stay. We also enjoyed our breakfast rolls from the burger van! We would recommend this campsite and would stay again if we were in the area.
Average site, fantastic view Sprinter-Type Campervan - Small Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 View from the loch is fantastic, and very close to Fort William and Glenfinnan, so fantastic location.
However, shower blocks are very dirty and dated.
Nice place, facilities could be better VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2023 The park and place were beautiful, but the sanitary rooms were untidy and dirty. It looked like it wasn't cleaned in days.

Medium Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 We spent two nights here as a base while we climbed Ben Nevis. Great facilities and a lovely location. The powerful hot shower was a godsend!
Our tent neighbours warned us the timber mill next door could get a bit noisy as it was open 24 hours but we found it didn't bother us and certainly didn't seem to operate overnight.
Dissapointed Motorhome - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jul 2023 The gentleman at the reception was very helpful. Our electric hook up cable was not long enough so he lent us an extension.
The showers were very clean and a high standard.
My disappointment was with the view. We had a very untidy, farm type building to the side of us. It was a mess and quite honestly, a bit of an eye sore. The site looked like it was on the loch. However although it was only about 50 metres away, it was not easily accessible. The grounds were not well maintained and the grass needed cutting. Overall, not a great experience.

VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2023 We had a great spot (T3) right at the end, near the toilets and showers block, plus being right on the Loch. Well organised. We didn't see a member of staff but we did have clear instructions on arrival.
Facilities were excellent, with plenty of toilets showers and separate sinks

Scottish tour Motorhome - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2023 Lovely Loch-side spot. Great view down the loch.
However, only 2 out of 4 showers were useable. There was running water all over the toilet cubicle floor and no paper. We ended up using our own facilities.

Tucked away site Motorhome - Large Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2023 This site is a very big park with lodges & seasonal pitches but does look a bit tired. Set in/near woods as well as Loch Linnhe - watch out for the wee bitey midges! Ok for short stay but a little too far out of Fort William. Didn't see any staff during our two night stay.
