About the site

Stay beside the scenic River Ouse and relax among 12 acres of countryside at this peaceful adult only camping and touring site. Explore the local market towns of Saint Ives (5 minutes) and Huntingdon (10 minutes) with plenty of pubs, country parks, shops, and scenic settings. Fishers can even try their hand at the three, well-stocked, onsite fishing lakes, plus the nearby river for larger catches! For campers, there are 20 grass pitches, some with an optional electric hook up. Tourers have access to 64 electric hardstanding pitches, 28 of which offer incredible lakeside views and are equipped with a 16 amp electric hook up and water. There are also a handful of seasonal pitches. If you fancy a day exploring off site, Cambridge and Peterborough are both a 30 minute drive, home to the Fens, shops, and several popular attractions. Dogs are welcome onsite. Please ensure they are kept on their leads at all times. Raised BBQs are allowed. Sorry, campfires are prohibited here.

There is a heated toilet block with showers, wash basins, accessible facilities, as well as a washing up area and a launderette. You will also find a reception block plus WiFi onsite.

Guests will have access to three large, well stocked fishing lakes filled with carp, coarse, and more. Open swimming is permitted in lake one. Riverside fishing is also allowed in the River Ouse and is ideal for catching larger species. Please note that all anglers must have a valid Environment Agency Licence.

The site is within walking distance of plenty of pubs, including the Hartford Mill (10 minutes), The Three Jolly Butchers (15 minutes), The Barley Mow (20 minutes), and the King of the Belgians (25 minutes). Less than a five minute walk is Walter Smith Fine Foods Ltd, a butcher and deli shop, or you can head ten minutes into Wyton for Walter Smith Fine Foods Ltd.

Things to do on site and in the Huntingdon area

A short five minute drive away is the National Trust - Houghton Mill and Waterclose Meadows, a peaceful spot for walking, exploring, and soaking up some local history. The Cromwell Museum and The Norris Museum are ten minutes away if you fancy learning and exhibitions.

The River Ouse is also a great spot for kayaking!

There are several country parks worth exploring, including Hinchingbrooke Country Park (10 minutes), Milton Country Park (30 minutes), and Ferry Meadows in Nene Park (30 minutes), all ideal for walks, cycling, fishing, and spotting wildlife.

Spend the day exploring Cambridge, a 30 minute drive from the site, home to the Mathematical Bridge, Kettle's Yard, The Fitzwilliam Museum, Newton's Apple Tree, and plenty of shops to browse.
