About the site

This is a quiet and peaceful site for adults only set in the rolling Corvedale Hills, ideal for a couples' getaway and ideal for relaxing and reconnecting as you watch buzzards and red kites fly overhead. It is an ideal base if you want to explore and discover the unspoilt Shropshire Hills and quaint historic market towns This gently sloping touring and glamping site welcomes caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents as well as tents and roof tents. Hardstanding and grass pitches are available all with views over the Corvedale Hills and surrounding countryside which provide a lovely backdrop. An ideal spot to enjoy a beautiful sunset before looking up to the starry skies. Hardstanding pitches include electric, a tap and own grey water waste connections. The grass pitches are available with or without electric hook up. Alternatively, stay in one of the standard camping pods. The pods are equipped with a 4ft double bed, heater, kettle, plates and crockery for two people. Bedding is not provided. Outside there is a chimenea and bistro set for alfresco dining or just sitting by a fire. Or stay in one of the larger Premier camping pods equipped with a double bed, a breakfast bar and bar stools, fridge, heater and a kettle. Bedding is not provided. Outside there is a chimenea and bistro set, perfect for al fresco dining in the evenings or a fire for warmth or just sitting and having a chat. There are plenty of mature trees and some not-so-old trees around the site providing an element of privacy to the pitches and camping pods, a haven for birds. Leave the stress and strains of family life and work behind you. The park's location makes it an ideal base for visiting the market towns of Ludlow, Church Stretton, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge, Clun and Bridgnorth. For a bigger town, Shrewsbury and Telford aren't far either. There is plenty to see, do, discover, taste and explore in the area as the site is an ideal base for sight seeing, walking or cycling. There is a small selection of herbs from which guests are free to pick a few leaves or sprigs. You're welcome to bring your own BBQ as long as it's kept off the ground. Ask for a slab and hot pot stand if cooking alfresco and please check with the site before getting a fire going in your fire pit. Chimeneas are available to hire. There is a small stock of heat logs and charcoal for the pod chimeneas and smaller ones that can be lent to the touring pitches. There is also a firestorm heater that can be hired out, and there is a small stock of wood pellets for this. Subject to ground conditions parking is generally next to your pitch or pod Dogs are welcome on the site but must be kept on a lead and owners must clear up after them. Dogs are also welcome in two of the standard pods. Please note, that for stays over 7 days, the site requests that a tent be moved within the same pitch boundaries to help preserve the grass.

A note from the site themselves...

We - Jane and Brian - aim to provide you with a safe quiet, friendly, child free environment so you can relax and unwind leaving the stress of work and family life behind.

Whilst we are a rural site (set in the rolling Corvedale Hills) there is plenty to do and see, explore and discover should you choose to explore the hidden gems of south Shropshire there is a train station in Craven Arms a five minute drive away.

We aim to encourage wildlife by providing "wild" areas on the site and have plenty of mature trees for the birds. We encourage our guests to help us care for our environment / planet by providing them with bins to recycle their glass, tins, plastics, paper, cardboard and food waste.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

This was our first camping trip and we randomly booked this location as a last minute thing. We are so glad we did as it was lovely, the entire experience was amazing and the campsite was beautiful. Very clean and well maintained, and it just felt very welcoming. It was the peaceful break we both needed, thank you very much. We would 100% book again! We will definitely be telling our wedding guests to book here if they want to for the future!

Site's response

We are glad you enjoyed your first camping trip at our adults only site midway between Ludlow and Church Stretton and not far from Delbury Hall (a wedding venue) . We are an ideal base to relax and listen to the bird song and watch the harvesting in the fields nearby but we are also an ideal base to explore what the beautiful Shropshire Hills have to offer. There are miles of walking and cycling and plenty of quaint market towns and historic properties and much more for guests to enjoy / experience. Thank you for your praise and recommendation - it is much appreciated.

Peaceful campsite with good facilities and pleasant staff

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2025

Excellent facilities , clean and easy to use. Not too big a site - just the right size to say hello to people but also to have private space and time to relax. Convenient to access historic sites etc

Site's response

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our small independently run adult only site. We do have generous size pitches with lots of mature trees providing privacy, shade and a home to a variety of birds. We often have a mix of regular and new guests and there is almost always someone (other than Brian and I - who are always happy to talk to guests) to talk to should you wish to. There are a lot of historic sites and buildings (including both English Heritage and National Trust estates) as well as quaint market towns, strolls by the rivers and much more to experience and explore. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review it is much appreciated especially the kind words about our "excellent Facilities".

Could be so much better

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesJul 2025

We might have expected too much after reading the lavish and enticing descriptions but in fairness, this site could be so much better. The toilet block (one of the most important features in our opinion) is pretty dire. It's ramshackle with a lack of care with no hooks for clothing, no shelves or baskets for soap and shampoo in the shower, loose toilet seats, the doors falling apart and no heating. The separate toilets are like temporary festival loos with difficult to reach toilet paper, no hot water and nothing in there with which to dry your hands, no paper towels no dryer. No hair dryers or even anywhere to plug one in. It is however kept clean. I think it needs pulling down and starting again. The site is poorly kept with little appeal, there's no colour, no flowers or tubs, no hanging baskets, it's very basic and if it wasn't for some stunning trees would be awful. There is road noise from the very close by road which was much busier than we expected, thankfully relatively quiet during the night but busy at 0600 until 2300.

Site's response

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to review our site. Feedback is always welcomed. We are sorry that our site did not live up to your expectations. Had you expressed your concerns whilst on site we would at least have been aware that we were not doing enough to satisfy our guests requirements, although bulldozing the site and starting again would not be an option for us, especially mid-season. Our facilities date back over a decade and having evolved over this time, have worked hard and are indeed showing signs of age. We did consider fitting hair dryers in each of the shower rooms however this was not implemented as the vainer of our guests would simply spend excessive time, causing delays for everyone else during busy period. We do provide a hair dryer and mirror with a socket underneath just in case our hair dryer is not suitable for our guests. Just not within a shower room. Our individual toilets were introduced to free up the shower rooms during the busy periods throughout the day and have indeed fulfilled this duty admirably. Granted they are basic, but nevertheless functional. COVID put pay to the plans to fit hand dryers and a warm air heat recovery system for the facilities due to the re-circulation of potentially virus riddled air. Heating a shower block in July make no real sense in the current environmental climate. Whilst guests in pods and tents have no choice but to use our facilities. Those guests lucky enough to have caravans and motorhomes of course do have their own facilities, the standard of which is completely within their control, especially if they are on a fully services pitch, so no water to collect or dispose of either. Perhaps we might suggest one of the many larger sites for the less budget conscious amongst us, for any future visits you may wish to make to our glorious county. One such site that instantly springs to mind is indeed excellent and has been landscaped beautifully with exceptional facilities to be envied by sites such as ours and is also conveniently located adjacent to the main A5 / A49 dual carriageway, giving easy access to both the West Midlands and Wales almost directly from the site. This is achievable largely due to the fact that their cleaning budget alone is many times our annual turnover and their staffing levels far in excess of anything we could even dream of, let alone afford. It is regrettable that you felt you little choice but to endure such a disappointing environment for the full duration of your stay with us and did not feel comfortable enough to be able to approach us to discuss the distress and disappointment that has now become apparent you were clearly feeling throughout this time. Had you made us aware of your displeasure soon after arriving we would of course have allowed you to cancel the remaining days of your stay with ourselves. leaving you free to book a stop at a more suitable site for a night, maybe even two on your way home.
