Perfect for Ben Nevis

Unfortunately, the recent weather made it a slightly muddy stay. However, the facilities were brilliant. The shop stocks so much including waterproofs, chairs and sleeping bags. The site has a laundry room which is brilliant if you're touring Scotland in a tent!
The washing machines are £3 per cycle and tumble driers are 20p for 4 minutes. The showers and toilets were clean and tidy. They also had separate cubicles with sinks for personal care. They had hair dryers available too. The site also offers phone and other electrical device charging.
Although our stay was a bit muddy, I'd recommend this site.
Great
Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 This is a great campsite at the foot of Ben Nevis. Very large site. Lovely views. Plenty of facilities on site including shop and hot food. Bit strange you cant have vehicle access in or out after 11pm but didn't bother us at the time. Toilets and shower areas could have been cleaner but I've seen worse. Overall a decent site with everything you need and a town centre 10 minutes away.
Very good site and well worth the money
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2024 I was only at the site for one night, but it was very good. The restaurant food was also fantastic, it's probably worth booking for the evening meal, as it's very busy.
The site was very clean and the services were good for washing etc. Will definitely consider going back to this camp site.

Stunning Location
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2024 This was our first time camping with my three boys and we loved Glen Nevis campsite.
To quickly summarise - Stunning location, great facilities, hot food cabin, on site shop (selling all your food and drink basics, to amazing fresh cinnamon rolls and other pastries first thing in the morning).
The site was spacious and well kept, and generally quite quiet (few louder groups that settled down after midnight). The only draw back were the "ravenous midges" which devoured me - the time of year, combined with the hotter wet weather unfortunately meant there were a lot of the little biting fellows around. A midge net hood is an essential piece of kit for all the family, long trousers and spray with deet.
Overall, however, a lovely site with spectacular backdrop of the hills - perfectly located for walking and exploring the area. Will be back again (just better prepared for the biting locals next time).
Disappointing Medium Tent - Electric Open Field Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2024 Having previously stayed here in a motorhome we decided to come back from this stunning location in our tent. On arrival, we checked in and were given a choice of 2 fields which had electric hook up. There are no marked pitches, so it is a bit of a free for all. We found a spot which left the required (by their own rules) 4 metres apart and set up. Next day, we headed out for the day and came back to find another tent had pitched between us and the next tent. It was obviously much closer than 4 metres on our side, and on the other the guy lines were actually overlapping.
We found a member of site staff and asked them to come and look, which they did. However, although it wasn't the correct distance on our side, he was unwilling to do anything unless the other tent complained, and just said he would be checking to make sure they weren't too noisy. They were so close we could hear every word they were saying while talking inside the tent.
The toilets are very tired, not very clean and badly in need of extension and upgrade - 5 showers for 2 fields of tents is nowhere near enough.
The site is extremely busy, and it seems like tents are treated as second class citizens despite us paying almost the same for our pitch as a motorhome. It feels like the owners subscribe to the 'pack them' attitude and the only concern is making as much money as possible. The staff member even complained to us that it was quiet despite being sold out for caravans and campers all 3 nights we were there.
Quiet times are meant to be 11 to 7, but there was lots of noise much later than this, and car doors banging at 5am as people packed their cars.
Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay - it's not a cheap site and despite the stunning location, we won't be returning.

Staff are super friendly and helpful.
If there was something to be improved it's the water pressure in the showers.
We would definitely recommend staying here.

We have E-bikes, so the ride to the town, railway etc was very easy. Staff we encountered were friendly.

Restaurant was lovely staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Showers and toilet facilities were super clean given the size of the site and how busy it was! Shop has everything you need lovely to walk around the site it's huge!
Views of Ben Nevis are stunning from the site! Would definitely recommend value for money was amazing!

Very well planned & organised site. Good set up for charging caravans. Very good set up for charging mobile phones with excellent security, so no one can steal or access your phone while it's on charge.
Excellent base camp for climbing Ben Nevis. Good stock of basic food stuff for sale in their shop.

Prices were good, facilities where good and plentiful, site was clean and the staff were very friendly (the guy doing the rounds on site gave us some good idea of things to do). Motorbike friendly and the food at the cafe next to reception was amazing with the nicest vegan sausages I've had in my life. Would 100% recommend staying here.

A pleasant surprise
Large Tent - Electric Open Field Grass Tent Pitches May 2024 Myself and my partner stayed at Glen Nevis for 4 nights, I have to say it was a really pleasant surprise - I know that sounds harsh, I'd overlooked the camping site when climbing Ben Nevis a few times before and it has always looked really busy (a good thing) but then my initial feeling would be that, based on other campsites, it would just be very loud and annoying (as it often is when large groups of people are close to each other).
I must say though I didn't find this to be the case at all. The park is huge!
The separate areas for electric and non electric are very easily separated - I went electric and the space between tents was really decent. If you have a gazebo with a large tent, you're still not pushed for space. Parking was roadside right next to your tent, also good when it came to noise as you don't have cars/bikes in your ear early in the morning.
The park was really well patrolled, again it was a nice shock to see people in high viz available to answer questions and also see everyone was being sensible while having fun. The park closes its main gates at 23:00, so arrive after that and you don't interrupt peoples sleep driving through the park, you park at the gate, walk to your tent and get your car in the morning - I really liked that. For the rest of the camp, there's a shop on site which has everything you'll need like food, drink, camping gear and probably a little bit more. There is a food van there for the weekend (days have gone from my head) but the food smelled amazing, prices weren't to bad and although I didn't use it personally, there was always plenty of people sitting around eating while we were there. For those who like a little more, about 1/4 mile down the road is a pub/restaurant for some more "proper food" or drink. Again not a place I visited, but did speak to a couple of people who had been and enjoyed it.
For anyone who has kids, they have a grassed park there, the kids will have ample room to kick about or run round like headless chickens and tire themselves out.
Showers/Toilets - very standard, there was plenty of the blocks located around the camp and the one I used was always kept in decent condition, with separate cubicles for getting sorted on a morning and having a wash - water was always hot in the showers and they had space to get changed etc. Other facilities include a washing/drying room which I think was about £3 per wash - as well as a room for cleaning your pots, all kept nice and clean and well looked after.
I've written a lot and I'm sure I'll have missed something. I'd 100% go back there and would recommend it to anyone either a couple, a family or just a group of bikes as was the case when I was there - it's very well maintained, very nicely quiet on an evening and I think it's a very well ran place when I compare it to other sites that I've been to where your left to self police.
