Clear filters Wilson’s on tour
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 We found the site lovely and quiet, with lovely views across countryside. Facilities clean and tidy, with recycling bins provided, with the bus service just down the road. Wi-Fi is also available, at a charge. Very handy for Barry, Cardiff, and a short walk into Wenvoe village, with shop and pub (lovely food) and friendly atmosphere. Paul & Pauline.
Lovely little site
VW-Type Campervan - Summer Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 We stayed one night at this site in our Nissan Elgrand while touring Pembrokeshire.
It's a fairly small site on a working farm, but has grass or hard standing pitches both with electric hook-up and water points dotted around the site. Everything was close at hand and the washing/shower/toilet facilities were very clean and modern. I loved hearing the cows in the barn behind us and it has beautiful views.
We didn't use them but it had a pub and garden centre with café within walking distance. Would recommend this site for a cute little country stopover.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 We needed somewhere to stay overnight for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour. The site was lovely and peaceful and easy to find. Toilet block was nice and clean.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Lovely location. Beautifully clean facilities. Close to bus stop to Cardiff and Barry. Great place to stay if going to a concert in Cardiff. Looking forward to returning later in year to explore area more.

Relaxing Stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Easy to get to and find. Set in a beautiful working farm. Toilets/Showers all wonderfully clean, great recycling system and washing up area. Was peaceful when we went as it was not full, children loved seeing the animals and running around our open space we had. Would definitely return.
A real gem
Single Axle Caravan - Summer Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 An easily accessible site. A working farm but quiet. It is very well laid out and the new facility block is modest but very high standard. Matthew and the family are very friendly and well organised. We got into the centre of Cardiff very easily for a family event and will certainly be back to explore Barry and the coast.
Lovely site close to Cardiff
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 This site was a real find with a bus stop a couple of minutes away to take you to Cardiff or Barry. Working farm which added to its rural charm. Only slight criticism is that the showers were missing a mop or something similar so you could dry the room after use.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 We needed a campsite last minute as the festival we were trading at didn’t allow traders to camp.
We found this campsite on this webpage and booked it easily. We didn’t expect a lot but wow when we got there it was beautiful.
There were a good choice of pitches for hard standing and grass. Both with electric hook up if needed. The ground was quite flat and good size pitches.
The toilets block with washing up facilities and full recycling facilities including food waste was excellent.
The showers had plenty of space and a toilet in as well. Always clean and tidy and lovely and cool in the hot sun.
I would come back again whenever we are near Cardiff and highly recommend this site.

Superb site with great views
Single Axle Caravan - Summer Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Great site within easy reach of the M4 with no narrow, twisting roads to negotiate. There are some hard standings and some grass pitches in 3 distinct areas, so you have the feeling of space. Everywhere is spotless. There are only two showers but they were very clean and look fairly new. I would highly recommend this place and will be going back.

Single Axle Caravan - Summer Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 We stayed for 3 nights, it was a lovely site on a working cattle farm. Excellent shower and toilet facilities.
It was just off the main Cardiff to Barry Road and was near to superstores.
We would definitely stay again, the only thing lacking is a hand dryer or paper towels in the lavatory.

A small and quiet campsite
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Stayed for 1 night. A pleasant, quiet site. Didn't actually manage to meet anybody that ran it. Felt the site was a little basic but served it's purpose. Just parked up!
Caught the bus into Cardiff, which was a bonus. Slightly disappointed that I didn't have any hot water to wash my hands/face with before bed and the door on one of the cubicles didn't lock or stay closed.
Would recommend as a pit stop and convenient to visit nearby towns.
Great Stay
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Having just bought a camper van and wild camping for a couple of nights I booked into Vishwell Farm to settle for a few days. It had hook up, a toilet/shower and even Wi-Fi.
It's a quiet, very laid back retreat, 3 miles from Barry so it was easy to hop on the bus for a visit which run every half an hour.
The best bit was the adjacent field where my dog loved exploring. David, the host, was a delight and very helpful.
First time caravaners
Single Axle Caravan - Winter Electric Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2023 We have just bought our first caravan and were staying for the weekend just to get to grips with the caravan and what to do. This site was perfect for just that. But as far as the children are concerned, there was nothing for them. So it's a site to park and set up and that's it.
Perfect peaceful stay
Motorhome - Winter Electric Hardstanding Pitches Dec 2022 Absolutely loved our stay in our motorhome on site, based on a working farm.
I had read previous reviews that stated shower/ toilet block were not great. This is a working farm, not a commercial large company site. What is offered at Vishwell Farm is clean and in full working order. They offer an area for motorhomes/caravans to maintain their own tanks, etc.
We were greeted by the owner, who was amazing, offering the use of his spare fields as our dog is reactive. Any issues and they are available on-site.
Lovely peaceful environment due to the size of the site and the countryside.

Lovely peaceful site with small number of pitches, good views and relaxed atmosphere. Facilities functional if basic but reflected in the low price.
Could have done with hot water for washing up and a warning when your 50p for the shower is about to run out!

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Easy to find. Clean site, clean facilities. We found a pitch down a slope by its self. Quiet. Our first night up from Cornwall. First night in a campervan. We've booked ahead all week. By far the cheapest, I bet it won't be the quietest!!
