About the site
Set just outside of Aymestrey, this site is an ideal spot with the towns of Leominster and Ludlow within a 20 minute drive. A small, family run campsite that welcomes families and dogs with friendly owners on hand to help! There are just 19 pitches onsite, 14 of which come with a 13 amp electric hook up. Choose between grass and gravel pitches or hardstanding and grass pitches, the choice is yours! Pitches are suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans. The non electric grass pitches are for tents only. For those who prefer glamping, there is Jacobs Folly Camping Pod, a heated pod with a double bed, fridge, kettle and outdoor decking. Bedding is included and shared facilities are nearby. Sorry, no pets. Enjoy views of open green space, and even visit the local geese and ducklings! There is an onsite cafe serving hearty full English breakfasts with indoor and outdoor seating, there is even the option for a takeaway! The campsite is well located, surrounded by miles of gorgeous countryside with the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty a 30 minute drive from the site, perfect for dog walks and family bike rides. For a bit more buzz the city of Hereford is 35 minutes away, a historic trading centre with a Gothic-era cathedral! Dogs are welcome onsite with up to two permitted per pitch, please note that there is an extra charge per stay for bringing a dog. Sorry, campfires and BBQs are not permitted on this site.

Hardstanding was a poorly drained road surface and muddy. Poor toilet and shower facilities, Light in gent's only active in the urinal area, but when using the toilet, the light times out. Shower facility in the men's leaves a lot to be desired, only one toilet and one shower. The same for the ladies'. However, water temperature in the ladies' shower fluctuated between cold and scalding, 80% of time it was cold water only. Internet Wi-Fi only worked in Cafe, did not work in motorhome. Owners very friendly, and the breakfast is good value for money.

This is simply the best place I've ever stayed. It's quiet peaceful and the owners are very friendly. It's a family run site, they go out their way to help you in anyway possible. Anything you ask, they can help. The cafe food is amazing, never tasted food like it. I'll be going back all the time. I had an amazing time here, kids were happy and me and my husband were happy. I couldn't say one bad thing. Everything was a great experience. It's lovely and clean, the people are just amazing. Thanks for everything, we love it here, see you very very soon - Tara and Alan.

Lovely friendly family run site, excellent breakfast we had Sunday morning. Very peaceful, relaxing very reasonably priced, great place to test caravan out, see you all again soon.
