A note from the site themselves...
Protecting the environment is something we have always valued. We are always planting trees and cultivating our own fruit and veg patches to supply shop produce. The campsite runs on approximately 7 amps in total, and our boiler is the highest efficiency and optimised to provide only hot water when required in addition all fittings are low flow.
All this means your holiday at Orchard View Farm is an eco-friendly and low-carbon one! We hope to welcome you for a sustainable stay soon, James

Bell Tent - Anne's Acre Bell Tents (Dog Friendly)May 2025
The tent was clean and bright with a comfy bed. Showers/toilets were spotless and regularly cleaned. We enjoyed tea/cake in the farm shop before a day trip to Waddesdon. Overall, a lovely, peaceful site with friendly staff.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches (Lawsons Lane)May 2025
This is a relatively new site which on-line offers a lot - level camping fields, pods, yurts as well as the five grass CL pitches. In addition, there is a farm shop, pigs, sheep and café. It is close to the Chilterns and in a good area for cycling.
The café is open to outside visitors and is very popular - this facility I would rate 4*. The farm shop was not what most people would expect - really disappointing, just a few displays with a very limited range of goods - I would rate 1*.
The toilet facilities were rather inadequate for the size of the site - only 2 cubicles in each of the men's (plus 2 urinals) and women's although there was a separate spacious family / disabled wash room. The showers had very low level trays with curtains that most users found unable to contain the spray, resulting in constantly wet floors. These facilities were not clean when we arrived, although did improve greatly during the week after I had a conversation with the owner's daughter.
The facilities for caravan/campervan toilet waste was interesting - a modified agricultural hopper with piped water around the rim, as well as the usual tap and hose. This would have worked well except while I was emptying, there was the alarming experience of waste liquid gushing up out of the inspection cover and running across the concrete floor. I reported this to the owner who said he would pump out the tank, which he did promptly.
A work in progress is an accurate description of the site. There were contractors building close to the facilities and laying drains across the car park which was, fortunately, fully reinstated just in time for the many Friday Bank Holiday weekend arrivals which filled the car park. The campers, with many children, had a great time, the large fields providing spacious pitches and good activity spaces.
So, for campers, an interesting family site; as a CL, particularly if you are expecting a quiet time, less successful. At £28 a night without electric hook up (under construction) the site is expensive and needs further improvement.
Lovely campsite
