The site caters to caravans, motorhomes and tents with level, sheltered and fully serviced pitches. Furry friends will love their visit too, with dog groomer and dog pampering facilities available on site.

Everything about this site was fab. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was brilliant. Close to a shop, pub, café and bus stop to the coast. A series of vending machines supplied milk, butter, cake, eggs and lots more. I'd definitely go again.

The site team work really hard to keep the facilities clean. They had a presence and were friendly and approachable, and you could see their commitment to their work. The location of the site is fab. Really easy to get to many local attractions. The vending machine was a hit. I think overall value for money was quite low. Although the facilities were clean, there were only a couple of showers and a couple of toilets for a large site. The site was also packed and it felt like everyone was too close together. The site was quite loud at night. The park could also do with some more play equipment. There wasn't very much - a slide and a set of swings. The space could be utilised better for children, in my opinion.

This time of year we are really busy and it may feel that the campsite is full, but we do check that everyone is on the right pitch and pitched up properly. The play park is meant for the smaller children as well as the playing field. There are lots of walks and attractions around Portesham and Abbottsbury for children as well as Weymouth Beach and the Dorset Jurassic Coast. We hope that you will visit us again.

We decided on a last minute getaway to celebrate a family 80th birthday (just bought a new caravan). Showers and toilets clean, the whole site was very clean and well maintained. The only bit I wasn't a fan of was the tight roads, but it couldn't be helped. Overall was an amazing place to stay and 20 minutes from Weymouth beach/ town centre.

Lovely site. Clean and tidy and lovely clean showers/toilets. The showers were nice and hot and temperature controlled so you could have it as hot, or cool, as you wanted. We had a pitch away from the children's play area and had no noise from kiddies whatsoever. Lots of choice in the vending machines and fab dog walking area. We'd certainly come back again, and we're really fussy about sites we choose.

The first time camping outside of a festival. This place is great. It had really good facilities and was generally spotless. I was very impressed and would definitely come back. This campsite does a great job!

A nice place to stay, easy to find and very clean and tidy. If you are taking a caravan, I recommend you book a large pitch as the smaller pitches are quite close together and at busy times, if you have a caravan and awning, things could get cosy. Lucky for us, the site was quieter, so over the length of our stay (11 nights) we only had one small motorhome parked next to us. Good points for the site are its auto barrier system with number plate recognition (24 hour operation) so no messing with pin numbers or cards. There was also a vending machine area that did ice creams, pasties, meat, drinks, so these were available 24 hours as well which was good. The toilets and showers, and grounds were kept excellently. The roads on the site were wide enough but had a covering of loose stone which "rattled" the wheels on my caravan toilet cassette. The Rooks that have been mentioned in other reviews were present coming in to roost at nightfall and were quite spectacular if a little noisy with all their chattering but they soon fell quiet. We would visit again.

Yet another great stay, this time with sunshine! Whilst I made a mistake on my booking, the staff were great at correcting it for me afterwards. One of my favourite sites and I will continue to visit.

A lovely quiet site with well-sized pitches. The vending machines offer a good range of foodstuffs and other essentials, as well as fresh milkshakes and a range of coffees. The shower block and toilets were clean and well-presented, as were the washing room and laundry. The use of a field of dog-exercising is also a positive. The staff were friendly and approachable, both before and during the stay. The village is historic and beautiful, with a great pub at its heart.

First of all, I have to mention the cleanliness of the main shower block etc, it was spotless. The staff were cleaning all the time it seemed and they all friendly and helpful. There was a little park for our 3 year old to play on and kept him entertained for a bit. If you ran out of supplies, they have the essentials at the reception and if out of hours, the automated vending machines were very good. We left our motorhome daily and used the bus service, which was very good and easy, esp with a 3 year old. The pub across the road did nice food and a decent pint and was open all week, but just check the Sunday openings as we found pubs did close earlier on a Sunday, I'm sure that one didn't though. The holiday was enjoyable and we will be back to the campsite again.

We loved this site so much we enquired about a Seasonal Pitch before leaving. The site is immaculately maintained. All facilities are spotless. The shower was better than ours at home! And all staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. After more than 50 years of caravanning and motirhoming I’d say this site is in the top three in the U.K. we have stayed at. We love it!

First time away in a very long time and we were more than impressed with the site. Reception staff are extremely accommodating and facilities are great, with lovely warm showers. The added bonus of the vending machines for milk etc is great and also the farm shop is within walking distance. Will be back for sure and even extended our trip from 1 night to 3.

I loved this camping site. The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful. The pitches are of good size and has supply of water and electricity. The units for toilets and sinks were very very clean as well as the showers. They were supersonic. Very convenient were the vending machines and the farm shop nearby. I would love to return.

This site is highly recommended. The toilets and showers are spotless and roomy as is the whole site. Loved the vending machines area (open 24 hrs) that sells a variety of breakfast needs (sausages, bacon, cereal, bread etc) , freshly squeezed orange juice, milk/milkshakes, hot drinks and snacks. Dog walk area is of a good size with a welcome stream for them to cool off in. A small park area seemed a hit with the younger children. Very friendly staff, always waving you in and out. The site is in a good location for Weymouth, Bridport, Abbotsbury and Dorchester. Hardy's Monument is a must to visit. The Swan Inn at Dorchester serves a fantastic carvery. If I could give this site 20 ⭐ I would. We will definitely be back!
