About the site

This is a relaxed, rustic, off-grid campsite, yet with everything you need, on a working farm within a prime South Devon location with a superb atmosphere! This is the last campsite before South Milton Sands and is within easy walking distance, so no need to pay for beach car parking! A good pub and eateries are all accessible on foot, as are the popular beaches of Bantham, Bigbury and Hope Cove, which are all just a stroll along the South West Coastpath. All pitches are grass and spacious at 10m square, bring your own fire pit or hire one onsite. Children are able to meet the pygmy goats, sheep, hens and ducks on the farm, too. It's a special place that campers return to year after year. Dogs are also welcome onsite with a responsible human.

The site is open for May half term and from 10th July to 2nd September. Pitches from £20/night for 2 people.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Spacious pitches and a great eco feel. Spotlessly clean facilities and great extra touch of fire pits for hire. Anita was so helpful and we felt really cared for. My car battery died and she helped out immediately and was so helpful. The veg shed produce was amazing, we all said the strawberries were the best we've tasted! Quick walk to the lovely South Milton beach. One day we walked along the coastal path to Bantham for another lovely beach day. We will be back!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Brilliant campsite. Really enjoyed our weekend. Spacious clean toilets. Nice showers. HUGE pitches. Loads of room for us with the van, awning and windbreak. Still had space to spare. Not an over packed grills at all.

A note from the site themselves...

Our site is located on our working farm, Terawhiti Farm, which has been in our family for over 100 years. It is a small, traditional, family run farm but very diverse in what we produce.

The winter months are spent yielding all sorts of vegetables including cauliflower, kale, cabbages, sprouts, celeriac, pumpkins, chard and pumpkins. In the summer, we have fresh strawberries and broccoli and the autumn brings pumpkin patch weekends. All this is always interspersed with the fattening of our hundred strong beef herd.

Since 1940 something, and throughout the generations, our farm has been welcoming people to stay on the South Devon campsite and many will return year after year. We hope you become a regular soon, Anita
