About the site
This tranquil site is ideal for those looking for some peace and quiet. Far from the bustle of cities, the only sounds you're likely to hear here are the chirping of birds, the buzzing of bees and the trickle of the River Wharfe. Being in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you will also be spoilt for choice with great walking and cycling routes.
For tent campers, there are five grass pitches available, each measuring a spacious 10m x 10m. Each pitch welcomes up to two guests to ensure the site is not too busy, and also comes with the option of a 16 amp hook up.
There is also one hardstanding pitch for those travelling in a small campervan. The hardstanding pitch measures 10m x 7m and also allows up to two guests, with the option of a 16 amp electric hook up too.
Fancy camping but don't have a tent? No problem, choose the basecamp pod, a simple, comfortable heated camping pod with a double bed, kettle, toaster, USB charging, under-counter fridge, induction hob and utensils. Please bring your own bedding, towels, cooking and washing up utensils.
Each of the pods also comes with a decking out front, along with an outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining. The pods are also set in a separate area from the tents so everyone has plenty of space.
BBQs are also permitted, as long as they are raised from the ground and off the decked area. Please note, open fires are not allowed.
Ideal for couples or solo campers, this adult only site does not accept groups. Please do not book as separate couples to then create a group. Sorry, no visitors are allowed onsite.
Sorry, pets cannot stay.

An absolute haven for those seeking calm and relaxation!
With only 7 camping sites and 2 pods this site is small but perfectly formed. An adults only and designated "quiet site" meant the only things that could disturb you were the sheep in thr neighbouring fields and the birdsong!
The site is well laid out with shower/toilet/washing up facilities only a few steps away from the main field. The block was always clean although with only 1 shower this meant having to wait your turn some mornings, but good was hardly a big deal.
Theres also the village of Kettlewell a stones throw down the lane (less than a 5 minute walk) with tea rooms, pubs and and ice cream.shop3!
Sean who owns the site was super welcoming and was always quick with a hello if you passed him, taking time to chat to all the campers.
We had a great 3 night stay and would definitely recommend Wharfe Camp to anyone seeing some peace and quiet

Medium Tent - Grass Tent PitchesMay 2025
Wharfe Camp is an excellent campsite. In fact I would go so far as to say it is probably one of the best if not the very best we have been to. It was extremely clean, had a superb location in terms of view and excellent river and fell walks on the doorstep. There were also 3 pubs, a café, deli and an ice cream parlour in the village which made eating out very easy. Sean, the owner was always on hand to help and advise. The service was excellent. The shower, toilets and wash basins were spotless and warm - a real treat on a cold morning. I would really very much recommend Wharfe Camp if you want a quiet, clean and trouble free break in a stunning location . Thank you.

VW-Type Campervan - Grass and Hardstanding Campervan PitchApr 2025
What a little gem of a site, virtually in the centre of Kettlewell.
We were greeted by Sean, the proprietor, on arrival with a big smile and all the site information. He has only just taken ownership of the business and his passion to make it succeed was very obvious.
The facilities are more than adequate for a site of this size, all very clean and well presented including the free shower.
Fantastic location at the base of the Dale Valley, great back drop which ever way you pitch your van or tent.
We are already planning a re-visit to the site which will include taking friends with their campervan - they will love it!
