Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2024

While situated in a currently very wet west coast the site copes beautifully with it. On the old Creagan station, it’s stunning especially for those with an interest in all things train (our lad) Facilities are close and clean, very spacious BRILLIANT for me to be able to help our son who has Down Syndrome. The view is stunning and Ewan and I saw a HUGE bird of prey (way bigger than the buzzards nearby here, looking up could it actually have been an Eagle?🦅) just sitting on the porter’s rest sign, spread it’s wings and flew into the tree line, a real treat. Really helpful owners too, being fairly new to modern caravanning their assistance was invaluable. We will be back, for longer next time.

Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2024

Great place with a wonderful view. We were a little unlucky and got there on one day without much cloud cover, but that was enough to appreciate the advantages of this place. Extremely friendly and understanding owners, silence, omnipresent, wonderful nature and excellent views fully compensated for the not so nice weather. Nice and well-kept resort with everything you need to spend a nice time. We will definitely visit again and recommend to friends. See you soon.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2024

The campsite is pleasantly located with nice views on the lake. The electric output and water on the pitch are a big plus. The shower and toilet are very nice and clean but one may not be enough when the campsite is full.

Incredible views!

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Lochside PitchesAug 2024

Nothing beats camping right on the edge of a loch - incredible views! Spacious pitches, very green. Good facilities with a simple but very well designed toilet and shower block. Campsite is next to the A828 but the road was quiet and it didn't disturb our sleep. Very easy process to book and check in. We'd stay here again!

Picturesque site with the most amazing showers!

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Lochside PitchesJul 2024

Excellent site with beautiful views. Owners are very pleasant and helpful. We booked last minute with friends and unfortunately couldn't get sited side by side. Callum was very helpful - after being disturbed on a Sunday afternoon and allowed us to share a pitch. The pitches were very spacious and with lots of room between them. Toilets and showers were amazing, very clean and so much room. The best showers by far! Lovely, very well kept site. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend or few days away, you won't be disappointed. Will definitely be back.

I wouldn't recommend for families as there is nothing there, but as a couple we enjoyed our stay and we walked along to the pub in the evening. Very peaceful.

Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Lochside PitchesJun 2024

Gorgeous, well spaced out site with views of the loch. Clean, well maintained showers and toilets. Cute little unused Station across the road and if you want to treat yourself, they have an ex GWR carriage converted to an outstanding standard!

Fabulous spot next to the Loch. Downside is busy road with logging lorries but, once we put the lid down in the roof, it was a lot quieter. Great for bike riding. Highly recommend Lismore island (ferry from Appin). Stunning views. Wish we could have stayed longer. We'll definitely be back.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Small Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2024

Was a great place to stay for a night to relax and unwind. I would pay an extra £5 for a Lochside pitch, if it was available, if I was going back as I planned to do kayak, but too much hassle from the other side once settled. The elevated parking area had a lovely view, so ended up just relaxing and admiring the view.

Site's response

Thanks for the review and sorry we could not get you a lower level pitch. We are putting in more Lochside plots for 2025. Hope to see you again.

Motorhome - Large Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2024

Fab stay at this idyllic site. Very well laid out, completely flat hard standing pitch and each pitch has electric and water. Very clean, modern facilities. Approx. 30 mins into Oban. Motorhome parking in Tesco is £5.50 for 5 hours. Get there early as only 4 spaces, right in centre of a stunning little town. Very helpful owners always on hand if needed and live onsite 🥰

Excellent site for relaxation and base for exploring the area. Stayed for two nights and booked in advance. Clear directions to your allocated pitch. Amazing view across Loch Creran. Showers and toilets clean but need a few more. Within walking distance of the Creagan Inn, with amazing food and outdoor seating by the side of the Loch. Would definitely use this site again.

Ok but could be better

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Lochside PitchesMay 2024

Campsite was difficult to find and could be signposted earlier. Reception is not signposted at all and no one came to see us all week. There was a breakfast burger van, which we only saw by accident whilst out exploring. There are also no pot washing facilities on site.

Site's response

Hi there and thanks for the review. You were sent a map with directions and a welcome letter both showing and informing you of where we live on site. We tend to leave people to their own devices when here, but are always available if you need us and are always here. The chip van is operated by a friend on the weekends during the summer but unfortunately, she broke her leg and cannot open until end June. We do not provide pot washing facilities as we only take self contained units, no tents. Therefore, it is not a requirement. Sorry you were not entirely satisfied.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Lochside PitchesMay 2024

A beautiful and well maintained site, the view was spectacular. Had a walk to Creagan Inn for tea, the food was great and another stunning view. We will definitely come back here and would highly recommend it, the perfect start to our NC500 tour! It is near a busy road but that did not affect the experience or bother us during the stay.

A lovely site in a beautiful setting. Quiet site, lovely owners. Nice level pitch with water and electric hook up, clean toilets and shower with lovely hot water. Will definitely book again. Nice pub and restaurant 5 minute walk away, felt it was a bit expensive though.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Lochside PitchesApr 2024

If you want an all singing and dancing site with loads of facilities and things to do, you will be disappointed. If, like us, you prefer a more peaceful and picturesque location, it's a great site. It is just off the main road split into two small sites, we had a Lochside location. Huge pitches with loads of room between units, all with EHU, water, picnic table and fire pit. Shower and toilet units are small but perfectly clean and functional. Just a few steps will have you right on the waterfront and the views are amazing. Just off the main road but we didn't find this intrusive or noisy. Pub close by, just a few minutes walk. This was our last stay after completing the NC500 and for us, the best site of the week.

Site's response

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, it really means a lot to us here at Creagan. Hope to see you again. Julie
