VW-Type Campervan - Moor View Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026

We stayed at Maker Camping last weekend and had such a fantastic time. The whole site has a really relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the location itself is incredibly unique. Being set within a conservation area adds to the feeling that you're somewhere special, and there are beautiful views everywhere you look. The facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The showers were hot with great water pressure, and the toilets were always well maintained. As parents of young children, we particularly appreciated the gender-neutral bathrooms, which meant both my husband and I could comfortably take our daughters to the toilet. The free tampons and sanitary products available were also such a thoughtful touch. The taco truck served some of the best food we've had at a campsite, and there was a lovely seating area with toys available for children to play with while adults ate, which made a huge difference for families. The bar was another highlight – really atmospheric, with a beautiful field outside and stunning views across the Atlantic. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the other campers were friendly and respectful. Although groups and music are allowed, everything was very well managed. Music was off by 10pm and there were no loud parties, just people relaxing and enjoying themselves. I would wholeheartedly recommend Maker Camping to anyone looking for a laid-back, family-friendly campsite, whether you're visiting with children, as a couple, or with a group of friends. It's a wonderful place to spend a weekend in nature and we'll definitely be back.

Trailer Tent - Moor View Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2026

Really good ,big rambling campsite with fantastic all-round views with really helpful, & informative staff. The only negatives are the Shower,, & toilet block is a little small for this very popular campsite , & they could do with a few more cold water standpipes around the site. But this is a truly awesome campsite in a wonderful, ,& beautiful location. so will definitely be returning.

Site's response

Hi Graham, thanks for your comments and for staying of course. Yes we are in agreement that we don't have loads of showers for the super busy times. We have changed one of the previous men's block to gender neutral now which has helped give the ladies some more but overall some more would always help. Taken on board. Siri
