About the site
Set in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and ten minutes from the glorious town of Conwy, the site is ideally situated for days of exploring North Wales. The site is surrounded by glorious sea views and mountains, a truly stunning place to unwind. Tents and small campervans up to 5.5m in length are welcome across the site's 30 non electric grass pitches, with the choice of pitching up where suits you best. For those who require a hook up, there are also 40 electric grass pitches available. Caravans and motorhomes of up to 7m in length are also catered for with five gravel and five hardstanding pitches, each with an electric hook up. The gravel pitches also come with a water hook up and are perfect for all-year-round touring holidays. Each pitch welcomes up to five guests, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy some peace and quiet. The site is located on a hill with terraced levels so everyone can marvel at the stunning vistas, though pitches may still be slightly sloping. Located between the villages of Dwygyfylchi and Penmaenmawr, a few minutes from the A55, it's a stunning site where it's easy to relax and watch the sail boats at sea, or turn to face the fabulous Welsh mountains where sheep and carneddau ponies roam. BBQs are also welcome onsite, perfect for a summer's evening. Cook yourself up some delicious food and enjoy dining as you watch the glorious sunset over the horizon. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to two allowed per pitch.

On arrival greeted with my most friendliest of staff, showing us where we could park our newly converted camper van! Amazing facilities where you can wash your pots, store your food in fridges provided, empty your waste and also wash and dry your clothes if needed! Shower blocks are amazingly clean. Mops provided for those who don't close the shower door properly ;) We will definitely be staying here again! Couldn't recommend this site enough! Oh and the views on a clear day are STUNNING! What made it even better was an ice cream van turned up on our last day! We were like kids at Christmas 😍

On our arrival we were shown to our pitch by the lovely warden, Kerry. The pitches are beautifully kept, some are a little uneven but that can't be helped. Generous sizes. The vista was amazing over the sea and mountains. The wardens went above and beyond everyday for the campers. Always smiling and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely return👍

Trwyn yr Wylfa is an immaculately maintained site with very clean toilets & showers. The views from the non-electric plots are amazing, but although plentiful and available on a self-select basis there are not many flat ones. There is a steep climb from the facilities block back to the pitch. There is plenty of freezer space, but no 'fridge, which, with no electric on pitch means total reliance on ice packs which is not good in warmer weather. There was no advertised "free guest Wi-Fi" on our pitch (did not try anywhere else). Hairdryer takes 20p coins. Laundry takes £1 coins. Phone charging lockers £1 - did not use any of these. Did not see a microwave, think there was an electric kettle, but again believe there was a charge for this. The site is quite exposed, and when the wind and rain come (which it did for almost our entire stay) the tent got a severe beating and one of a lesser quality may not fair well. On our 3rd night, someone did come round to warn us of more strong winds. The site rules are no music, and no noise after 11pm which is fantastic, but unfortunately, some people think this does not apply to them and continue to talk loudly until 2am. The site is sited close to the A55 (which can be noisy if the wind is in a certain direction) which gives easy access to many places to see including Conwy, Penrhyn Castle and the zip wire to name a few.
