Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric All Weather Pitches Apr 2023 Great pitches at the rear of the pub, pub is very small, food only if you pre-order but you are made aware of this prior to your visit. Friendly welcome and good local recommendation. No shower but decent enough loos. Nice staggered pitches and very quiet, would definitely stay again.

Motorhome - Electric All Weather Pitches Apr 2023 Very nice and friendly! Landlady was very nice. Ken Moon is most unusual being he is there to meet & greet (Ken is a Harris Hawk!) 2 very friendly Dachshunds live there as well.

Unfortunately, we hadn't booked a table for dinner so had to go to another local pub for dinner, so I would advise to book in advance if you want to eat at the site.
Lovely pitch behind a pub
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric All Weather Pitches Mar 2023 Lovely pitch behind a pub which sadly we didn't use as they had no food on a Sunday night. The pub had 5 pitches for MH/Campervans with electric and other facilities.
We had a quiet, fully serviced pitch and there is a beautiful village to wander around. Would go again.
Irondale Single Axle Caravan - Electric All Weather Pitches Mar 2023 Quiet location. Had meals both nights that we stayed at The Chequers Inn - good atmosphere, nice pub grub and a good pint!
Site was well kept and next to each pitch was a bench and seating.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric All Weather Pitches Mar 2023 We had a fabulous night staying here in our camper van. The pitches were spacious and neat behind a lovely pub.
The pub itself was excellent with a great atmosphere and lovely landlady. The food was pre-ordered and delicious.
I would highly recommend it.

Great little campsite!
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric All Weather Pitches Dec 2022 A small well kept site at the back of a great pub, serving lovely home cooked food. The village is very pretty and there's access to countryside walks.
Good site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric All Weather Pitches Nov 2022 A nice little site in an idyllic location. Ideal for dog owners as lots of walks and open fields. The on site pub looked nice but you need to have pre booked food, and I couldn't order on the day. Luckily there is another pub 2 mins round the corner, which was excellent.
The only other negative was the lack of hot water in the ladies toilet. It was reported on day 1 but was still not working when we left 2 days later which, when there's no shower facilities, was a little annoying.
Apart from these we enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly visit again.

A fantastic weekend getaway retreat
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric All Weather Pitches Nov 2022 My stay at Irondale was a very pleasant and a warmly one. The staff were polite and very accommodating. The site and facilities were very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend it to others. And I will be definitely returning for another stay.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric All Weather Pitches Oct 2022 Superb site, easy access from the M1 but very quiet and rural. Lovely friendly pub. Definitely recommend.
Excellent time at Irondale
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric All Weather Pitches Oct 2022 Lovely campsite in a superb location. Well worth a visit, especially to see Ken, who flies around without a care in the world!! We will be back sometime next year, and I can't wait. Lovely walks for the dogs from the site, so much to see and do in the area.
