What a great campsite. We had never camped before and came in a rented Campervan. It was very very wet weather but site was not waterlogged in any way. We were met by Lucy who could not have been more helpful to us. The modern toilet /kitchen /drying room and/washing up block was so clean. It was warm and well maintained, it made everything so easy. Our patch was very spacious, with hook up electric and water. It was such a short walk into Minchinhampton, which is a gorgeous little village with fab amenities. A wonderful place to stay and excellent campsite.

Adult only is always going to be a positive. Local to the village, 5 min walk to the pub and you can grab a bus from there. Facilities are basic, showers turn off really quickly which is annoying. Also, signs to say which are shower rooms would be handy as everyone uses the shower room for the toilet and leaves mud in there. Overhang for outside sinks don't protect you from the rain. Can hear some road noise. Probably wouldn't stay again as having more 'about it' would be appealing.

We are Bongo novices. This is our 3rd outing. Lucy greeted us on arrival and explained the site/housekeeping. She was so helpful and friendly. Such a fabulous site, so quiet in a beautiful setting. We will be back in the spring. Thank you Lucy.

This was our first time camping in our van. The site was perfect, and the facilities were well above my expectations. When we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this.

Lovely site. Small number of pitches, each very private with good separation between pitches. Electric hook up, water tap & picnic table at each pitch. Lovely facilities.
Perfect site for a quiet get away

The location great for walks, close to local small shops and a friendly pub. The Wednesday market although small, had nice gifts and produce. Tobacconist Farm campsite was quiet and the toilet, showers and washing facilities were excellent. The owners were friendly and welcoming.

Tobacconist Farm is a great campsite. The location is within walking distance of lots of local walking trails and right next to the small village. The pitches had a nice distance between them so you felt you were with others, but not in each others pockets. Really peaceful and relaxing site. The facilities were excellent, clean, lots of them and you never had to queue. The owner and her son were really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this site. Thanks for a fab stay.

Great site on the edge of a lovely village. Lucy was very helpful. Toilet and shower block were really well laid out with lovely hot showers. Good to see food waste recycling too. Would like to return - with some sunshine next time please!

We didn't get off to a good start with the owner, Lucy. It was mentioned with what the check in times are, but "early/late arrivals cannot be accommodate without 24 hours notice". That led me to believe that if I gave 24 hours' notice, there might be an option to arrive late. I sent an email weeks in advance, asking if it was possible to arrive late and I got a very rude response which I felt was over-the-top considering it was just an inquiry, not an assumption. Despite this interaction, when we arrived, Lucy was kind and welcoming and settled us into our spot. She suggested some great places to walk and visit. We left for a late night meal and when we returned, the electricity wasn't working at our site. Thankfully, she responded right away and her son got the issue fixed. The other issue was that there was a group of campers staying there who were up partying late into the night, way past the quiet hours. This is not within the owners' control, although, when the son came down to help with the electrical issue, he could have told the campers to quiet down. Frankly, so could I, but I didn't feel comfortable doing so. I would still recommend staying here. The location is good, but just know that the check in times are very strict.
Site's response
Erin, I'm a small business, owner operator. You booked in July for the 5-6th September at my campsite with a check in time from 1-7pm. In August you emailed me stating you'd booked a tour of Stonehenge on 5th September at 6:45pm and would be arriving between 9-10pm. I refused to accommodate you! What makes you think anyone wants to be at work an extra 2-3 hours so you can have your tour? My campsite was full and you wouldn't have just inconvenienced me, you'd have inconvenienced everyone else on site! Why book a small campsite if you want corporate hospitality? I'm sorry you felt I should put your request above the comfort of others. It's not how I run my business.

The site is just on the edge of Minchampton, a very picturesque typically Cotswolds village. The site is very quiet, surrounded by trees and fields. It's a very short, safe walk to the Crown, good food & drinks available. Henry's do a very good coffee and pastries, cookies and bread to die for. The Premier shop have everything you'll need, or run out of, and the staff at all of these premises and on site are very friendly and helpful. The loos and showers etc are spotless. There's plenty of room around the plots, simply cannot fault it - we will be back!

What an absolute gem of a place this is. The pitches are large and well maintained. The facilities block is modern and spotless and even has a free washing machine. The owners, especially Lucy, are friendly and helpful and the site is secure and adults only. You can help yourself to one of the provided firepits if you wish. There is a decent, designated dog walk too. There are donkeys in the adjoining field. Minchinhampton is a lovely and ancient market town with a good shop and dog friendly pub. Warning, the town was not really designed for cars, never mind large caravans, and many of the roads and lanes are unsuitable for towed vehicles. The best way to access Tobacconist Farm is along Cirencester Road, past the village, then take Hampton Road (towards Avening) then first right onto Woefuldane Bottom, then right onto Tobacconist Road. Exit by the same roads.
Ideal for exploring the area

Our first stay was short to try out our trailer tent and we decided we had to go back for a proper longer stay this time. Amenities are spotlessly clean with private shower rooms and toilets cubicles, showers are hot and with underfloor heating. The rest of the campsite is very clean and the pitches are generous. One can borrow a fire pit and buy logs for those wonderful campfires in the evening. Lucy, the owner, is very welcoming and a fountain of knowledge for the local area and for a day out. The campsite is on the edge of the beautiful little village of Minchinhampton with wonderful pubs and other places to eat. I would love to keep this little gem a secret, but Lucy deserves a 5 star review for her campsite on the farm. We will definitely be back and likely to make this place the starting point of our future trips because its convenient location,
