About East Thorne
This award-winning site is family friendly and ideally situated in Bude, a great base for exploring Cornwall. Within a ten minute drive of the sandy Summerleaze Beach, it is the perfect destination for days by the sea and evenings around the fire pit. There are ten glamping roundhouses for you to choose from, all of which have high end furnishings, double beds, and well stocked kitchens with pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, and even herbs from the communal garden! You'll also have an alfresco kitchen, wood-fired clay oven, and a fire pit. The flagship Secret Roundhouse has a luxury ensuite bathroom and wood burning hot tub. This unit is set away from the main part of the site in its own private garden. Cynefin Roundhouse is another private two person roundhouse, topped off with a roll-top bath, internal kitchen, electric hot tub, bi-fold doors and beautiful valley views. A further four roundhouses are spaced in smaller paddocks. Two of these roundhouses are pet friendly. These are equipped with ensuites, underfloor heating, wood burner, fully fitted internal kitchen and connecting cabin room. Another four roundhouses are set on the main part of the site, lovingly spaced with hot tub screening for a more intimate stay. These all also come with modern fittings, ensuite, kitchens and two double beds making it a perfect option for couples travelling together. Additionally, there are also four cosy cottages for those wishing to stay a little more conventionally. The site has access to a seasonal converted horse box serving fresh organic morning coffee and pastries. The site has previously won numerous Tourism Excellence Awards and in the South West and Cornwall. Dogs are welcome in some of the roundhouses.
East Thorne is open from 05/01 to 31/12.
All roundhouses include ensuites. Guests also benefit from a play park, games room, clay oven, communal campfire, safe car-free space and seasonal animal feeding. Guests can also add on a breakfast or local produce hamper.
The London Inn is a 15 minute walk from the site, along with a Co-op and takeaways.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The place is so beautiful and cosy. Loved that we had a private jacuzzi. A perfect romantic getaway for couples.

Amazing stay at this place. The roundhouses are perfectly set up for a couple or a small family. Jacuzzi was great at night time and our daughter had so much fun speaking to and feeding the animals (especially the goats!) Bude was only 10 mins in the car and had plenty to offer a family (we also had our dog with us and there's plenty of dog friendly bars/shops/restaurants). Will be coming back for sure!

We loved it, and even better, we were able to bring our dog with us to share our mini break as they have dog friendly pods! The accommodation was spacious, clean, and charming.The hot-tub was equally as impressive, we could have stayed in there all night!! The hosts were friendly and knowledgable, they made sure we were happy. We will be coming back shortly with the whole family. Cheers!!

Things to do on site and in the Bude area
Being in one of the most scenic parts of Cornwall, a trip to the seaside is a must. Summerleaze Beach is a ten minute drive away, perfect for days of swimming or surfing. You can also stroll along the shore to Bude Sea Pool which offers a unique semi-natural swimming pool!
If you are looking to entertain the kids, head to The Milky Way Adventure Park (20 minutes). Let them burn off some energy will thrilling rollercoasters, soft play areas and even wildlife shows.
For some local history and amazing natural sights, visit Tintagel (45 minutes). The historic Tintagel Castle boats wonderful coastal views along with Merlin's Cave, and St Nectan's Waterfall is home to a breathtaking 60ft waterfall too.
