Quiet campsite with play area for children visible from all pitches. Very welcoming and friendly on arrival. Would recommend and return but there is no toilet or showers, so read description before booking.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring PitchesOct 2023

We attempted to check in at 5.30pm and no one was at reception as it was closed/locked. We rang the bell as requested numerous times no one answered. I called three phone numbers that were listed on the door/window of reception but no one answered - I called about 15-20 times over a 1 hour period. I then emailed and received a response at 10.20pm asking if we managed to check in okay. Really really poor. We had small children with us and had been travelling all day. We just wanted to set up and get the kids to bed.

Nice, peaceful stay

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring PitchesOct 2023

I had a peaceful couple of nights at this campsite. As it was autumn, it was quite empty, which was perfect for me. Check-in was smooth and easy, the pitch was level, and there was a central access point to water. There was space for hand and machine washing and drying clothes, but none for washing dishes, and no toilet or shower block, so it's important to be self-contained. I didn't explore the area as I had work to do, but certainly things are a drive away, rather than a walk, so buy what you need before you arrive, unless your rig is easy to drive around. There was an area where dogs could go off lead, but it had a few aging static caravans in it, so not the most scenic, but good to have the space nonetheless. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I met some really nice people on the site who were there long term.

Lovely site and nice people. So peaceful and practically had the whole field to ourselves. Unfortunately around the bins there was strewn rubbish all over the floor, which wasn't picked up for the duration of our stay.
