Good base

Rural farm, not somewhere to spend time, but a great base - really good showers, very clean and freshly painted. Close to Penzance and surrounding area. As I was on my own, didn't like that I had no phone signal, but lovely, helpful people.

Lovely, unkempt, rural

Were a bit shocked that pitches were overgrown but once we accepted that, it a was nice private rural setting. We were the only occupants in 4 gravel pitches, short slope up to the barn which still has original tin roof but surprisingly good, clean spacious showers/ toilets. There is a nursing home behind, from which could be heard a few hours a day someone shouting 'help me'. Disturbing, but as a retired nurse I understood probs due to dementia. We had a resident robin visit us frequently, saw lots of birds, a rabbit and heard an owl in the distance, it was quite magical. Small stall at roadside had strawberries, plants, rhubarb, strawberries were lovely. Enjoyed our short stay 4 nights.

Stayed two nights

Good value for money. Site is basic, but quiet. Beautiful woodlands with a small river running through. Perfect for walking the dogs. Adventure playground for kids with swing ropes on trees.

Lovely stop over

It was our 1st ever campervan trip & this was such a lovely little stop over! The farmer met us & was very friendly & we got to chose our pitch as which was a bonus to as had bit more room for the pupsters. The toilet & shower were basic but very clean & handy. Electric hook up & water on each pitch. Will definitely be back. Even got a delicious home grown strawberry 🍓 on departure x

Good location

Very good location for us as childhood memories nearby. Well thought out pitches with Cornish hedges and wild flowers. Sloping but fairly easy to navigate/reverse campervan. Narrow roads, and a good walk in to Penzance. Otherwise, all good.

An amazing little park!

We have just got home after a lovely 2 night stay here. Pitches were spacious and level, the fire pit on the pitch was an added bonus. The owner brought us a lovely box of chocolates as a valentines gift and was super helpful, with directions for us to walk our dog. We didn't use the facilities as we have a shower and toilet on our motorhome, but I'm sure they would be as clean and lovely as the rest of the park. There was a little wooden hut which sells some produce from the farm itself and the prices looked great. There's a big walk of fields opposite which can take you on for miles and in a clear day, there's a great view of the bay. Overall, we have had a lovely stay, we were so happy with the pitches and the owner couldn't have been more helpful and lovely. We will 100% be back and book for longer next time. Basic but good location

Fox Farm is a great location for exploring the area. Pitches are a good size and level. We felt it is definitely a stop over site and not a campsite as no real facilities, apart from the shed with one toilet and a shower. Both were in good working order but we thought it was very basic, so if you require more luxury we think you'll be disappointed.

Relaxing

A nice location and hardstand with EHU. Only 1 toilet and shower but enough. Hot water. Owner was very friendly. For an odd night not bad value. Thank you.

Basic but a good site for a stop over.

Lovely farmer. Basic, but all you want from a one night stay.

Basic site

Overpriced for a very basic stop compared to other sites in the area which we have stayed on. The shower and toilet are in a small garden shed. 30 minute walk to the main road.

Nice place, site holder a nice chap and good guide to the area.

Quiet and peaceful small site

The site is beautifully quiet which surprised us being so near to Penzance. A bonus is spring water on tap and a friendly farmer who is very knowledgeable about the local area. Facilities are basic but clean. Easy access to ancient sites which is our interest. We had a meal at the Barbican Bistro which was superb.

Our stay

Loved our one night stay at this farm. Met the owner and he was lovely and friendly. Would definitely stay again. The site was lovely and clean and very peaceful.

Good stop over

Lawrence the owner was very accommodating and welcoming, everything you need to recharge and rewater etc. Toilet and shower is basic but clean. Will stop again!

Peaceful location

Very quiet, peaceful spot. Good value for the money....very nice owner. Bit of queue for the loo in the morning.

Great last minute booking

We had to book a last minute overnight. Such a great spot. Private with a friendly host. Dog friendly which is great for us and no problem having more than 2 dogs which is a real plus. Didn't want to leave one pooch home alone. Clean toilet and shower.

Peaceful

A good, basic, clean and peaceful site. Although traffic noise during day is to be expected, evenings are relatively quiet. Well signposted at entrance to site, clearly seen. Owners very friendly.

Lovely, quiet family stopover

A lovely quiet/rural setting. Only one shower and toilet, but it's enough for the four pitches and very clean. Friendly owner and family. Will visit again.

Value for money

Couldn't ask for more for the money but the shower could do with a little improvement.

Mini stopover at Fox Farm

A very very small site and we were the only ones there, which was great, but also lucky as there is only one loo and a temperamental electric shower in a wooden outhouse! There was electrical hook up, water tap and waste drainage but you had to lift up a manhole cover to empty your chemical loo. There is also nowhere to wash up so we didn't feel there was a lot for your £25 per night. It is a quiet location and if you're prepared for the above, it's ok, but if you are expecting a toilet block and consistently warm showers, this isn't for you. It is in a great location for visiting West Penwith and the lanes are a good size to manoeuvre your van. We enjoyed our stay but felt two nights was enough. We got a warm welcome from the owner's sister and the nearby residents during our stay.

Great value hideaway

Lawrence was a fantastic host. A working farm. Water is from a bore hole, crystal clear and pure. There's a lovely farm stall that you can buy fresh produce from. Lawrence recommended the woodland walk right next to the property. It was amazing, a stunning unspoilt 30 acre-woodland with a river running through it. We had a great 2 night stay, listening to owls (tawny and little) both nights.

October holiday

I think it needs a washing up facility and more than one shower and toilet. Otherwise, a lovely little place and would recommend.

Large electric pitch for motorhome

A small and family run site with good facilities offering a warm and friendly welcome.

Enjoyed our stay

Enjoyed out stay, had a lovely welcome on arrival. There was one shower and toilet, which was clean. After travelling the coast, was lovely to have a hot shower (which you don't have to keep pressing for hot water).

Good place to stay

We had a nice place in the upper area, very quiet. The owner is very nice and helpful. Electricity is available on site, as well as fresh water. Chemical toilet disposal is also available, as well as a bathroom with shower and toilet. If humanity and tranquillity are more important than a luxury camping park, you are in good hands here.
