Excellent camping place

We have stayed in Porthtowan tourist park over the weekend and it was absolutely lovely. It was our first camping experience and we really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice and helpful, facilities and the side spot less, very clean. Other people who were camping were also very friendly and everyone was respecting quiet time at night time. Definitely we'll be coming back in the future.

Amazing campsite

Fantastic site owner, very welcoming site, clean lovely flat pitches. Toilets and showers spotless, peaceful site. Lots of accessible services and close to Porthtowan beach, definitely recommend.

Porthtowan Tourist Park

Fantastic site. Owners very friendly & helpful. Lots for kids to do with football pitch, tennis court, large park and games room. Facilities were kept exceptionally clean. I could not fault the site, highly recommend.

My visit to Porthtowan

I think it's a great place to stay. The site is beautifully kept by the owners. It is very near Porthtowan beach, which has a couple of nice bars and watching the surfers is amazing. The shower block is just like new and kept very clean. The pitches are level and easy to access with a big caravan. I had a fully serviced pitch with water and drainage connections next to the caravan. Don't come off at the access recommended by satnav from the A30 if you're coming from the North go one further on and then come back to Porthtowan. This route is a lot less torturous and really quite easy. Stay on the main road on the site comes up on the left.

Amazing

Our first caravanning experience! Wow, absolutely enjoyed it. Felt very welcome, lovely grounds, well maintained and so close to beach, shops etc. It is a great spot and I plan to go back really soon again! Many thanks for a great stay.

Family break

Can not fault the cleanliness of the site and its facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful. Second time we have stayed here, great location to be in.

Our stay

Overall amazing. Super clean, great showers, very friendly staff who work very hard. My only constructive suggestion is that maybe it could do with one more sit down men's toilet.

Perfect site

We had an amazing time here. Staff are so friendly, and very helpful, site is immaculate. Would definitely recommend to others to stay here. We shall definitely be returning.

Beautiful site

This site is beautiful, staff are all so friendly, all the facilities spotlessly clean. Hardstanding pitch with water connection and electrical hook up are prefect as well, well recommend to all.

Wonderful family holiday

Our family had a great time. The staff were so friendly and eager to help in anyway. The pitch was spacious and close to the park for the kids and they loved it! We were sad to say goodbye and hope to visit again soon. We stayed due to the location of the beach but there was so much more to the site and we're really impressed.

This is an excellent site run by really nice people

This touring caravan park is really well kept, the grounds are immaculate. The toilet and shower block looked new and was kept very clean. I had a hardstanding fully-supplied pitch and it was well worth it. The pitch was large and the water supply, drainage and power all close by, and one for each individual pitch. The ground is level so no problems there, and the roadway sufficiently wide to make backing in easy. The site is near to a very nice beach although the walk back up the hill, about a mile, is a bit challenging? Best take the car there is lots of parking. Lots of places in easy striking distance. I enjoyed Cornish Gold which is 10 minutes away. I will be returning in September.

Excellent stay

Our first camping experience as a family and it did not disappoint! Lovely park - facilities were very clean and games room was a hit! Staff were very friendly and made us feel at home! Will definitely return! Thank you x

Peaceful short break.

A clean & well maintained site with plenty of choice regarding pitches. The Shower/Toilet block was always kept in good order, but it was closed for over 2 hours in the middle of each day for cleaning, which seemed a little bit excessive. This site is perfect if you want peace and quiet, but it was a little remote with no public transport available. The staff were all friendly and helpful and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant break near to the seaside.

Just wanted to let you know that the toilets are not actually closed for over 2 hours in the middle of the day. Apologies for the confusion, we do display that this is the case but this is only to allow us a window between those times to be able to get in and give the toilets a proper deep clean. I am sure you would have seen that the toilets were closed for a maximum of 30 minutes, guests are able to use the family and disabled toilets for the short time the toilets are closed. We appreciate you recommending our site and would love to welcome you back in the near future.

Excellent. Best campsite we've ever stayed at

Excellent stay, we go camping 3x per year and this is the best campsite we've been to. The facilities are immaculate, lovely staff, good location, 1 mile from beach which has plenty of parking and less than 30mins to St Ives, etc. Would definitely recommend. There's a good games room with pool & table tennis, a mini football pitch with 2 goals, another goal elsewhere, tennis court, play area, you name it they had it.

Lovely, well kept site. We had a fully serviced pitch on hard standing which was perfect for us considering the wet weather conditions. Very helpful site wardens - nothing too much trouble. Good location for access to many of the lovely Cornish beaches and coastline.

Beautiful site

Immaculately maintained site. Great facilities. Friendly staff. 1 mile hilly walk to the beach. Great base to drive to park and ride stations which you can then travel anywhere in Cornwall.

Friendly, welcoming and clean and tidy, with big pitches

A fantastic campsite. Quiet and clean, spotless toilets and showers are clean with plenty of hot water. Really helpful staff, and lots of places to visit and nearby sandy beaches. Would highly recommend this site.

A beautifully kept site with friendly helpful staff

This was probably the best site we've stayed on. Immaculately kept and a credit to the hard work of the team - particularly Angie and Andrew and their family/staff. Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you.

Great touring site on the Cornish coast

Great site that is extremely well run and maintained. Dog friendly and has facilities for families (basically caters for all). Access to the site is good (for larger camper vans) and Porthtowan (which has good cafés) is around 2 miles away if you use the paths (one mile if you risk the road). Public transport links not great (nearest bus stop is poorly served), but has contact details / special rates for taxis and even contact details for food deliveries. Would highly recommend.

Perfect touring site

Perfect touring site, everything as you'd want it to be for a relaxed break. A lengthy walk into Porthtowan if you don't want to drive but a good option available to stay off the main road & link up with the coast path. Staff very friendly & helpful. Will definitely be back.
