Camping at Banks is a natural, back to basics campsite and shepherd's hut tucked up a country lane beside the Hadrian's Wall national trail. There are unallocated grass tents pitches and a single shepherd's hut. If you are looking for a wild camping experience but with the essential facilities then this is the site for you!

A relaxed, back to basics campsite with stunning wildlife, ideally located beside the Hadrian's wall national trail, perfect for hikers looking to explore. The site has space for around 20 small backpacking tents, all of which are on unallocated non electric grass pitches. Vehicles are not allowed so you must arrive via bike or foot. The shepherd's hut sleeps up to three people and has a cosy log burning fire as well as a picnic table outdoors. The shepherd's hut has its own composting loo, sink and water point. Dogs are allowed onsite and there are plenty of surrounding trails for them to explore, just please keep them on the lead when onsite. Fire pits are permitted, just keep them raised off the grass so that the ground doesn't get damaged.
