Fantastic. We had a lovely stay, the pods are cozy, clean and very well maintained. The hot tub was superb. Lovely hosts, great location.

The pods are in a lovely location, not too far from many places to explore in the lovely Lake District! Karen and Andrew were so lovely and super helpful, will definitely stay again and recommend this to other people!

The site and the pod were immaculate, well equipped and perfect for a peaceful and romantic escape. The owners are friendly and communicated well, and were helpful when we arrived. The whole weekend was exactly what we hoped for, to the last detailā¦it was perfect!

Me and my partner had an excellent 3 night stay here at the Squirrel Pod. So cosy and just what we needed. A bit of time away from kids. Hot tub was amazing and the pod was so spotless and clean. I can't find any faults at all. Would highly recommend and we'll definitely be back. Loved it.

Would recommend Thornfield Camping Cabins, friendly & welcoming. Andrew & Karen both very friendly & so helpful. We were made to feel welcome. Made our Ernie (dog) holiday as well. We will definitely stay again. Lovely to have the chickens walking around. The cleanliness was second to none and the location was perfect. Well done.

Thornfields Camping Cabins is a fantastic location to get away for a nice quiet and relaxation holiday. Our host and site owners, Andrew & Karen, made my family so welcome during our stay and nothing was ever a bother and the local knowledge and places of interest to visit were 1st class. My family would definitely be coming back for another holiday soon. Highly recommended 10/10.

I booked this last-minute long weekend away for my birthday, for me and my partner to relax and also explore the Lake District. The location is perfect, with beautiful views and friendly staff. The book with recommendations of places/restaurants to visit was great, lots to do! The pods were squeaky clean and everything you need is in there. The birthday card and sweets were a cute little touch. Would definitely recommend booking the hot tub and fire pit, at sunset this was beautiful and so peaceful. We will definitely be coming back soon, for longer this time!

I arrived on site and was greeted by Karen and Andrew. I went on my own with my little Jack Russell called Paul, we were made so welcome when I got shown to the pod, I was in awe of it !! Immaculate and absolutely everything you need. I am looking forward to returning with Paul in September. Thanks Karen and Andrew.

Andrew welcomed us and showed us what we needed. The children loved playing with the toys provided in a shed for all to use, playing on the trampoline and looking at the guinea pigs and chickens. Inside the cabin was immaculate and beautifully presented with ribbons around the towels and a glass bottle of milk in the fridge. There was also a very organised folder detailing local attractions and pubs etc. The hot tub was set at 38Ā° for our arrival and was a hit with us all looking at the beautiful countryside. We will definitely be returning!

Stayed for 2 nights in a pod which had its own facilities. Pod was extremely well designed with a small kitchen, good sized sofa, double bed and small dining table with 2 chairs. The kitchen had enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for 4 people. Outside was a table and chairs and fire pit. The starter pack for the firepit was enough for the 2 nights and while we didn't have the hot tub, our neighbours did and they looked like they were enjoying it. The Campsite was immaculately kept and we had a few free roaming chickens saying hello. You can buy fresh eggs from the site too. Short walk into the village for a pub, shop, chippy and cafe / tea rooms. We did use the pub and the food was excellent. They do suggest you book. The pods are arranged on the site to make the best of the view. It is a stunning view and we were blessed with good weather. There is also a host of information in the pod in relation to walks. Overall an excellent base for a few days in the lakes. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing stay. The location was perfect if you want somewhere quiet but isn't too far walk into the local village. We went on a 40 minute car journey to Keswick. Definitely worth the journey. If you go on a Saturday, it's market day. Lovely day out. You can see the amount of hard work put in by the owners and staff to provide the best stay for everyone. They are so friendly and so helpful. The pods were immaculate. We enjoyed the hot tub, BBQ and fire pit as added extras. Couldn't recommend staying here anymore!

First time in a Pod and we were really impressed. It was immaculately clean and well equipped. Site was quiet and very tidy and the owners were very polite and friendly. Accommodated our dog who had a bowl, blankie and welcome biscuit. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

We stayed in Owl Lodge, which is newly refurbished and it was immaculate. The hot tub was easy to use and had a lovely secluded feel due to the layout of the site. The owners were very helpful and recommended local places to visit and eat, which we did try and thoroughly enjoyed. We would recommend to friends and will definitely be booking again.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend, the pod was immaculate and everything you need was there. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Lots of walks and we also enjoyed the games, we didn't even miss the TV. Will we definitely return. Thank you for a great weekend.
