About the site

It's not often you get to combine the seaside and the beauty of a national park - but Seacote has all the coastal charm you'd like and is only a 30-40 minute drive from the Lake District. Touring pitches are right by the seafront, with a gravel hardstanding base and electric on every pitch. These are just a short walk from facilities, which are in the centre of the park. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a lead.

Things to do on site and in the Wigton area

If you're a big fan of cycling, but not so much of puffing up a hill, the Solway Plain is for you. It's spectacularly level, leading straight to the unmissable Cumbria Cycle Way. As you leave your wheeltracks beside its green hills and glorious coastline, you'll also be close to the length of Hadrian's Wall.

Nestled into the Solway Marshes, rare and beautiful plants bloom and you'll catch glimpses of birds you've never seen before. While away a few hours watching the swooping seabirds dip in and out of the frothy waves in search of fish. If you think they're onto something, you can turn your hand to sea fishing too!

Beautiful West Beach is only two miles from the park, ideal for dazzling days by the sea. If you can tear yourself away, play a round on the 18-hole championship golf at Silloth.
