We really enjoyed our weekend break here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming with a relaxed approach but on hand to help if needed. Lovely well stocked shop for any provisions which our children enjoyed visiting to buy milk in the morning! We were situated in a lovely positioned plot spaced out from other campers. The field was quiet but if full you still would have plenty space. Excellent facilities block with 3 showers, 3 WCs and dishwashing. There is also a fridge and freezer available to use and a kettle/toaster which was such a nice idea. Only criticism would be lack of wash basins. If you aren't showering and just want to have a wash you need to use the sink in the toilets (or the dishwasher sinks) which wasn't ideal. If the site was busy this may clog up the block. We highly recommend site though and would happily return 💚

We were first timers at this site, but definitely won't be our last - spotlessly clean, friendly team of staff, shop selling all sorts and in a good location 😊 Our only observation would be that there was no chemical point in the EHU part (however there is one in the next field, which was only a few minutes walk).

Perfect place to camp. Other than the beautiful location, the hosts were were really friendly and welcoming. The washing facilities were spotless and well maintained. The electric hook up pitch was roomy and had great views.

We loved our stay, and lucked out entirely with the weather. The farm was easy to find with sat nav, and we were warmly greeted and led to our pitch. Plenty of information about water, toilets and shower blocks, and then handed a leaflet for any other FAQs. It is definitely a five-star rating from us, as we certainly never had any issues with our stay. If I had one suggestion, it would be that the showers on the hill sometimes cut out, and went cold - so maybe look at the plumbing for there, but it wasn't a big deal.

Stayed during a period of deep freeze, -15c, so had to go back to carrying fresh water in a Jerry can as all the plot pipes were frozen. Apart from that, we were the only caravan on site. There were deer feeding outside our door on the first night, so it was perfect for us as we just needed to switch off!

A great site, all the facilities were very clean and well maintained. The only minor point was that we were on an electric tent pitch (with water), but there was no water access directly on the pitch.

We were on plot 12, which did need an extension for water pipe and long length electric cable. John the host did lend us a longer electric cable. The site is on a hill, but once we were able to level our caravan we could sit back and take in the view over the tree tops. Site was well kept and choice of supplies in small shop/reception. Not too far from a number of villages/towns and close enough to Scotland.

Excellent nights stay, only spoiled by some campers making a lot of noise late in the evening.

A fantastic site, immaculate facilities, wonderful and friendly staff & beautiful views. Our stay was sadly cut short due to the behaviour of some other guests. We will happily return, but not when schools are on a break again.

Lovely staff, nice location but pitches are very uneven and it was very noisy where we were. We were put up in top right hand corner on pitch next to the safari tent, which had non-stop music and loud kids. Think we will stick to the wee adult only sites from now on. I do think loud music should be banned from all sites, you want peace and quiet not somebody else's music blasting out all day :(

Good location and reasonably cheap. Nice and quiet too. Very clean and fancy bathroom/toilets that would put many hotels to shame.

This is one of the best campsites we have stayed on. Perfect for everyone with lodges, park ups for motorhomes and caravans and anyone with a tent. The layout of the site is spot-on with all the necessary facilities close by. Several superb toilets and shower blocks along with sinks for washing up and all extremely clean. The staff are around all day, attending to cleaning etc. There is a handy shop at reception with all the essentials. We're already planning a return it was so good 😊

Great find! Quiet (unless the groups in the lodge decide to have a late night hot tub singalong) and spacious with a designated one mile dog walk around the grounds. Friendly and helpful staff, and clean facilities. Lovely walk across moorland to local village of Caldbeck.

We stayed in the safari tent for three nights. It was lovely and clean on arrival and everything was supplied even tea, sugar and coffee. We only had to take our clothes. The campsite is very tranquil and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The location is in a rural area so you have to drive to get to places, but if you are looking for a quiet getaway it's the perfect place. Plus there is a lovely pub just a 6 min drive away. We would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing break.
