Bit smelly

Hadn't realised site was near to a sewage works but certainly noticed on arrival and any time the wind blew the smell across. The facilities and layout were fantastic; staff were lovely and it was well priced.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have the odd smell from the sewerage works but not that often. Unfortunately when you were with us our local farmer was muck spreading which he does opposite the campsite site and surrounding fields. So sorry if this spoilt your stay with us.

A countryside Utopia

Didn't really know what to expect but this was delightful. A working rural area with farms, cows and tractors, and tame 'wild' birds running about and no seagulls. Narrow country lanes so everyone drives carefully. Turn left out of the campsite and a 10-minute lane walk to the nearest pub and the bus stop to Exmouth, a town that took a few hits in the 1940s but still has many splendid mansions and their own 'Banksy'. Don't miss the museum and do take the ferry across the Exe to Starcross. Turn right out of the campsite and a 6-minute bike ride gets you to Exmouth sea front with its lovely sandy beach with lifeguards. The campsite was quiet even at the weekend. Dog owners are welcome and all were under control and their dogs didn't bark in the middle of the night. It's not a big campsite so enough (new) toilet/showers, so having to wait for a vacant one was unusual. There were hooks for clothes and a towel rail for other stuff - plenty of space. The beer was a bit pricey but staying at Prattshayes is such good value, you can afford it. Staff were lovely and very helpful about where to get buses. This was perfect for an older female solo camper with walking boots and a little bike.

Our little break

An excellent site with friendly staff and clean facilities which looked new, peaceful setting with a pleasant 1 mile walk to Exmouth beach. The pitch was huge, with ample room for a larger group. The only negative comment would be at peak times, the shower pressure was so poor, the shower was unusable.

Great spot for Exmouth

A great spot for Exmouth and its beaches. It takes 5-10 mins on a bike down the hill to the beaches and a few more along the flat to the marine and town. Going back up to the site may make you puff! Site is neat, tidy, quiet and well equipped, reception staff very friendly and helpful. Toilet and shower block spotless and pretty nearly new by the look of it. Good site!

Fantastic stay!

Brilliant, scenic and clean campsite, only 20 minutes from the beach. Facilities were clean and the people were friendly. Would 100% recommend!

Louise is amazing

Louise is amazing so friendly and welcoming, we've booked to come back with the children in August for the week. The toilet facilities were amazingly clean and tidy.

Motorhome stay

Lovely night stay, very clean. Down side was no internet and long walk to the beach.

Beautiful site, perfect facilities and only 5 mins to the coast. Loved the peaceful surroundings. Will definitely come back when next in that area.

Short break

Loved our stay and would not hesitate to return. We have already recommended it to family members, the staff are super friendly and helpful. The facilities were beautifully clean and the bar is a nice touch.

Good

Nice quiet site, we did a lovely walk into Exmouth along the coastal path. Shower and toilet blocks were fantastic, the lady onsite was very helpful. Pubs down the road were not so good.

Clean and friendly

Small and friendly campsite with all the facilities you need. The shop is small but Supermarkets are just up the road. Allocated pitched which I prefer so you have your own space.
