Great site

Site well kept with lovely staff. A great location for Exmouth and great to have bar onsite. Showers could do with updating.

Camping

We had a good 4 days and it was quite relaxing.

Peaceful

Lovely and quiet. Only a few pitches in use when we were there. The site manager was helpful, but not bothersome. Short bit of a narrow lane to get there. It did say it had a bar and shop, but bar was not open and the shop only open for a short time. The site could do with a few more lights as it's too dark at night to use the toilets or showers. It would also be good if you had something to stand on after you get out of the shower, and somewhere dry to get dressed. No internet. A few minutes by car to the beach.

Thank you for your review. The reception and bar run on reduced hours this early in the season. We open every morning from 10 am and if the weather is good and the site is busy, I stay open until about 6pm. But if it's very quiet and raining, the bar will be closed as we only have outside seating. As the season progresses, the opening hours will increase. We have put in solar lights, which should help navigation around the site. We are also waiting for the floors to be treated in the shower block and then we will have plastic matting to go down to help with keeping feet dry. Thank you for bringing those things to our attention.

Outstanding campsite

Great campsite with very friendly staff with all facilities very clean. The site is a 10 min walk to the beach though lovely countryside views. Would highly recommend and a perfect site for a short or long-term stop over. Thank you and will be back 😊

Okay

The site itself is in a great location, 20 minute walk down a lane but it is quite narrow and busy with no footpath and then stroll in Exmouth. The pitches are a great size and you can see planting has been done to separate them. The showers are not good at all, very small cubicle with no where to put your clothes except the wet floor or a few hooks. For the price, I was hoping for something better so not the best value for money.

Lovely site

Everything was lovely except the male showers. Whilst the temperature and water pressure are fine, the sides of the cubicles are too low, meaning that people on either side can see in whilst you are showering, reducing privacy. Taller screens are required. Also, maybe more info on local stuff - buses, wildlife etc.

Really lovely little site

The site was easy to find and our pitch was well signposted. Perfect sized pitch and the site was well laid out so campers aren't all on top of each other. Site staff very friendly. Toilets and showers cleaned regularly but a little small, quite often a long queue. If I could make 1 criticism, it would be that there wasn't a play park for the children but they made friends and were running around relatively safely.

Lovely little site

The washing up facilities were great, running hot and cold water, larger space and clean. The location is a massive plus as it is ideal for everywhere local. We liked the way the site settled down in an evening and this made sleeping soundly lovely. The size of the site was ideal and the girls loved exploring. The only thing I would suggest is; in the future if your planning on upgrading or revamping the shower/ toilet area, perhaps look at size of the shower cubicles. At the moment they are very narrow and as there is nowhere private to dry and change other than in there or in a toilet, with the space being extremely limited. Perhaps seeing if moving things around will help with this. Also, more of a preference for me as the weather has been very hot on some days; a shower that offers a cooler temperature too. Perhaps a thermostat controller in at least one.

Quite beautiful location

Stayed here for 2 nights; it was very clean, staff were excellent. The only thing not on site was a diner/café but about 10 minutes walk up the road there was a nice pub serving food.

Weekend break

I stayed here with my family for a long weekend. The site presentation and cleanliness were excellent, plus nice and close to the beach and local pub.

Smashing little site

Lovely little site, very quirky. Had a great 3 nights there - turn right and its like the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. Loved it- would recommend.

Lovely, clean and quiet

Location was a bit far (for me) to the beach and shops, but the site was lovely and clean and quiet. It had a small shop/bar. If you want a really quiet campsite, this is for you. Everywhere was extremely clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

The shower and toilet block was constantly wet, it needs updating. Also, there is not enough fresh water connection taps on site.

Two nights in a campervan

A good pitch, only marred by the functional showers and inconsistent check out times.

Hi Chris, thanks for the review. Our shower provision is constrained by the building and we do the best we can with what we have, we make every effort to improve them. As for the checkout times, checkout is 10:00am, which is written on the information email we send to every guest, this is consistent. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with the site.

Wish we could stay longer

Arrived mid afternoon, day was sunny but the night was very cold. Unfortunately got a phone call from home which meant we had to cut break short, but otherwise would have liked to explore to see what Exmouth had to offer.

Rural location near Exmouth

Beautiful, quiet location. The site is well maintained and the washing facilities are exceptionally clean. Great base for cycling to Exmouth and beyond.
