Great site. Lovely views of the house and valley. Very peaceful. You can hear the running water from the nearby stream. Facilities well done in an old farm building.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2022

Lovely campsite, in an ideal location if you want to walk and go to the beach. The setting is beautiful among hills with a lovely lake. It felt very back to nature. But with the advantage of showers (and other facilities). The service was excellent. They were incredibly helpful and patient, even when I changed my booking last minute (twice!). And really accomodating in making sure the pitch was right for me. The only draw backs from my point of view were that you are not allowed fire pits only BBQs, but I noticed this rule wasn't strictly enforced. And you do have to drive to get to a local pub and shop.

Very pretty

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2021

Stunning location, very narrow roads to get to it, but worth the nail biting country lanes to get there. Sadly, we had no interaction with anyone that owned, worked or ran the site at all, And the shower blocks were really grim. It's a real shame, because this beautiful site was really let down by this. Had I have known this was the case, I think it would have been a deal breaker for me. I strongly recommend flip flops!

Site's response

Sorry you thought the shower block was grim, it is cleaned 2 if not 3 times a day and is one reason we have a high amount of repeat custom. Over this winter (2021/22) we will complete the refurbished with all new shower and loo cubicles. Unfortunately this will not stop the floor from looking dirty if the weather is unkind .

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2021

Although facilities were basic, they were charmingly located, what a view to do your washing up from! Fabulous access to all the secret beaches linked with good cycling and walking paths. A beautiful secluded sheltered valley! A real gem!

Lovely little campsite. Quiet and well-maintained with all facilities as advertised. Close to a great, secluded beach too. Loved our stay!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2021

This was a first holiday away together and was a lovely place to stay within a budget. The pitch itself was very spacious and allowed for lots of room. The views of the open space and sheep were lovely. However, the drive to and from the pitch to the main entrance wasn't very nice due to the lane being very uneven and large stones left so was nervous of scraping the bottom of the car. The facilities could have been cleaner but weren't that bad.
