About Welcombe Meadow
The site offers just two chic safari tents, set in 27 acres of farmland which is ripe for exploring. Country views surround you and Devon's north coast is roughly a half hour away. The tents have been thoughtfully furnished with great attention to detail and guarantee you a glam experience. Sleeping six, they feature as stylish leather sofa, comfy dining facilities and fun games supplied for the kids. Settle down around the wood burning stove, where you can rustle up meals with on-demand hot water and your own fridge-freezer, or alternatively choose between BBQing outside or spoiling yourself at a local restaurant. A hammock outside with deck chairs completes the perfect atmosphere. Stepping out from your comfy safari tent, you'll be able to explore farmland packed with wildlife and home to a pretty stream and a den that kids will love. It really is an ideal escape!

Facilities, including well equipped kitchens with wood burning ovens and toilet and shower pods, are en-suite. A tasty pizza oven is available on site and fire pits for each tent.

Things to do on site and in the Umberleigh area
Beaches are all along the coastline, with far too many to count available - but Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are some well known favourites and there are tiny coves that, though less famous, are also magical.
If you need a bite to eat, there are good restaurants at Wiermarsh Farm, and High Bullen Country Club, but the ultimate luxury is available by booking a private local chef to come and cook in your safari tent - decadence!
You can wet your whistle locally in The George and The Golden Lion and a sweet wobbly bridge allows you a safe, traffic free route over to the village which is just five minutes away. Once there you'll find cafes and friendly locals waiting to meet you.
