Lovely & peaceful
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026 A quiet get away (although expect site busy during peak times). Large & spacious. Plenty of facilities around the site. Friendly staff & friendly guests. Open space around the site to see the ponies & plenty of dog walking areas. Ideal location for visiting the local villages & not too far to drive to the coast.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2025 A great little spot for a last minute break, beautiful scenery waking up to the New Forest ponies just the other side of the tree line.
Park was lovely for the kids & nice to have a shop/food onsite. Would stay again.

Great little shop with everything you need.
Unfortunately we had to leave the night after getting there as the rain and storms were so bad, but will definitely be returning next summer.
Not the best visit we’ve had to Holmsley Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Been to this site couple times and been great. Unfortunately this time, it was absolutely packed in like sardines. I appreciate it's summer but I can't say there was much happening to ensure pitch distances and site rules.
The quiet time was a bit of a joke. As someone who has a toddler, I really try to pick places to stay knowing they have stricter camp rules so I'm not battling with an upset child. I had to keep asking other campers to keep it down way past 11pm.
The park is something I usually enjoy taking my little one to but there was lots of unsupervised kids throwing stones and making it unsafe for a little ones to play.
After this experience, I would go elsewhere as very disappointed by how it run when it's busier
Perfect spot for family camping
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 Absolutely loved this site, perfect for kids, brilliant play area and nice and flat for riding bikes. Added bonus that the wild horses seem to like gathering just outside the site.
Take away options were good, shop was little expensive but you come to expect that! Toilet and shower blocks were simple but mostly clean.
Really good spot for travelling to Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
Great location
RV - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 As a couple, I would only recommend this site for weekdays and during term time. It is a quiet and peaceful site until Friday afternoon, then it was havoc.
We had 6 children playing in front of us, hitting car and motorhome with ball/toys. When we asked them to move, their parents sent them back! Really took the shine off it for us.
Toilet block was also filthy Friday and Saturday. Would go back Sunday to Friday.
Hot New Forest break
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Good campsite, showers and toilets. Pitch was fairly flat and site was clean and tidy, I did not use the shop or take-away.
There always is a bit of a problem with access to the site as the New Forest ponies collect around the entrance and don't move unless you very carefully approach them in your car and if you are lucky, they will take the hint and make a gap. The site is also good for plane spotting as they come in to land at Bournemouth Airport.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Loved Holmsley Campsite and was second time camping there. Big site, lots of showers & loos. Oh, and lots of New Forest Ponies.
Very helpful and friendly staff.
We will book to stay again.

Perfect for a man and his dog
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 A WW2 airfield, which was perfect for me as my mum and dad met whilst serving in the RAFVR and WAAF. Rio loved his walk along the old runway and peri-track. Such a warm welcome and the facilities were spotlessly clean. Will be back.
Good access to the coast
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2024 This site was great for visiting Milford and Barton on sea. If Corfe castle or Sea age was on your agenda, then it's also a good place to set off from.
The facilities are always kept clean, as are the other New Forest sites and it's only let down by some of the people using them, who seem to expect others to clean after them.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The aircraft to the local airport stop flying overnight, so it's lovely and quiet.

Great place
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Both me and the kids had a wonderful time here. From when we first arrived, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Location is also nice, with walks surrounding the whole site.
Facilities are kept very clean, there's a shop selling essentials and even a "takeaway".
We will certainly be returning for a longer stay.
Camping in the forest

Friendly staff in the shop and beautifully maintained facilities.
Loved seeing all the ponies and cattle. We will visit again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We were welcomed by a lovely Australian man who explained everything very well! We then proceeded to follow Tina who showed us to our pitch with her nifty bike!
The staff clearly enjoy their work environment because they were all happy. We didn't use the shop/takeaway service but nice to know it was there if needed! Shame the rain happened, otherwise we would have joined the quiz! Lots of staff walking round which is nice to know in case we had any questions. The showers & toilets blocks were super clean and always stocked up!
The only comment we have as a group that had never been to the site before, we had no idea where to find drinking water & we couldn't find it anywhere. We asked a family next to us but they also weren't too sure as they had just arrived as well. We could have asked but we made it work for 1 night.

Excellent site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2024 We have stayed here four times now and absolutely love this site.
The staff are all really nice, the facilities are always very clean and it's in a stunning location with so many beautiful places to visit in the area. Our two dogs love the walks surrounding the site and beautiful Southbourne and steamer point sandy beaches.
Cannot wait for our next visit.
