Enjoy starry nights and campfires on a peaceful wildflower meadow with views of Dorset heathland. Camp at Primrose Fields Campsite by venerable oak trees and take midnight walks. Let the children play, chase butterflies and enjoy the rope swing. Fire pits and large BBQs are available onsite. Great walking/cycling straight from site on the Frome Valley Trail, Hardy Way and NCN 2. Spectacular Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast are a short drive away.

We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely enjoyed it. Kids got to be kids with playing, wooded walks for the dog friendly and chilled atmosphere. Owners were fab, would stay again.

Lovely campsite with very friendly owners. Nice and peaceful with lots of space. No hook up means peace and this was enforced by the owners. Great to be able to pick a pitch rather than be allocated. Basic facilities, but better than expected.

A clean and tidy camp site with caring and helpful hosts. The toilets and showers were extremely clean, even though they were portable ones. A little camp shop and equipment hire would make it perfect. My only criticism is that it's not signposted until you actually get to the turning and by the time you realise, you've gone past the turning. All in all 9/10

Great site. Lovely and clean, great central location to be based to drive to the various beaches and places. Nice, friendly people running it, great for the kids as they can explore the woods and play on the various swings etc. around the site. Loads of space to set up, and nicely spaced out. They have fire pits to lend which was great, good washing up facilities, and the showers are probably the most powerful I've ever used anywhere. Would recommend 100%.

Definitely recommend this campsite. Very friendly and welcoming and love the fact you can pitch up wherever you want. Toilets were very clean and the showers were better than the one I have at home. A great location too with the blue pool just down the road. Fire pits and wood to purchase, delivered to the tent was a great plus as the first night I was on my own with 3 kids. Everyone camping around us was very respectful of the no loud music/noise after 11pm which I appreciated, having the kids with me. If you have yet to try this campsite you wont be disappointed when you do.

We have just returned from Primrose Field. We were a large group with children aged 6-9 years old. It felt very safe and they loved playing on the little park and exploring the woods. There was plenty of room for a game of rounders and football. The tents were very spread out so we didn't really hear any noise at night, and didn't really see any of the other campers. It was great being able to pitch where you like and set up your camp with friends for the weekend. Toilets and showers are basic but very clean and do the job. Plenty of washing up facilities and bins, and the owners are lovely. We had such a nice friendly welcome when we arrived. We will definitely be booking again for next year!

This was a bit of a field in the middle of nowhere, but good for some of the local attractions, such as Monkey World. We just wanted somewhere away from the heat of Newbury which did us fine. Had good stay, only three showers but they were good and clean.

Excellent stay. 3rd time we have been to your site. Will keep on coming back and have recommended it to others. Relaxed, quiet and very well spaced out. Being beside the forest in an open area makes for a great view as the sun sets, especially over a log fire. A great place to relax after a week at work.

The place is very well located if you are interested in activities near Weymouth, Bournemouth, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door etc. Also very good value for money, compared to other camping sites in the area.

Absolutely beautiful field with lots of space and a really good vibe! We camped as two families and like to put our kids to bed at a sensible time but it was so nice and quiet this wasn't a problem. The fire pits on hand is a lovely touch and seeing everyone's lit up in the evening is very special. We will be back but for much longer than a night as so much to do in the area. A real gem! Plus facilities spotless which is such a bonus! Thank you for a great stay 😊

The campsite has all the required amenities which were kept very clean. Free to pitch where you wish allowing for tents of all sizes and family groups to pitch together. Fire pits were available to borrow and wood to purchase. The owners were very welcoming too. The site is perfectly situated to enjoy the Jurassic Coast and all its beauty. The facilities are basic (no electric hook up) and it is more of a wild camp experience with stunning sunrise views. There is so much to see locally and the campsite offers everything you need after a busy day exploring, it is not designed to keep you there during the day, more to send you off to discover the wonders of Dorset. I would highly recommend this site for the clean and ample facilities and the great value for money it offers.

Friendly welcome and helpful hosts who are around at the entrance in a Romany caravan complete with fire. Fires are allowed and my son and girlfriend who lived locally were able to visit and enjoy our fire pit. Love that firepits are allowed and available to borrow too. Firewood is driven around the site should you not have some. Loved the walks in the forest, clean portaloos and large washing up sinks and showers. The showers are huge with plenty of space for belongings. I would visit Primrose Fields again.

The facilities looked basic but were actually the cleanest camping showers and toilets I've ever been in! Sinks were made up of retro marble wash basins and vintage taps - quirky and really refreshing! The lady running the site was incredibly friendly, helpful and laid back! There are fire pits & wood available for a relaxed camping experience.
