Enjoy starry nights and campfires on a peaceful wildflower meadow with views of Dorset heathland. Camp at Primrose Fields Campsite by venerable oak trees and take midnight walks. Let the children play, chase butterflies and enjoy the rope swing. Fire pits and large BBQs are available onsite. Great walking/cycling straight from site on the Frome Valley Trail, Hardy Way and NCN 2. Spectacular Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast are a short drive away.

Large open field, great for kids to run about and a woodland near by for walks. Only two showers so it was a queue in the mornings. However, they were outdoors and simple but quite powerful. All fine. Especially for the price we paid. Fantastic location. The pub had a marquee with a party on in the Saturday which boomed music. But it stopped at 11pm. Not sure if this a regular thing or one off. It didn’t bother us but our kids just slept through it. Is definitely recommend it and we’d stay again.

We had a fab few days camping here and Christine was very welcoming and helpful. Loved having access to a fire pit we could move and use right outside our tent. Great ‘wooded’ area to walk dogs and shower and toilet facilities were to a good standard. Definitely go back

The camp is situated a good distance off the main road so no road noise or danger to children. There are woodlands for the children to explore and very clean facilities. There are bbqs and firepits situated around the site and charcoal and wood for sale at the entrance. A clean, peaceful, family orientated campsite, which serves as a really good base for exploring the Dorset coastline

Loved this campsite. There are no designated pitches, so you feel free to pitch wherever you like. No commercial atmosphere like you get in holiday parks, only your tent, a fire pitch and the stars. Just perfect! Rules are also not too strict, it gets quieter after 11pm. There are several beaches nearby that can be reached by car. Hope the owner keeps it real and doesn't become too commercial!
