About Higher Moor Farm Campsite

Located in the charming village of Nottington, you're just a short 15-30 minute drive away from the famous golden sands of Weymouth Bay, the Jurassic Coast, the Isle of Portland, and the historic county town of Dorchester. If you're looking to pitch up, the site offers plenty of flat and open non-electric grass pitches that welcome all sizes of tents. As for caravans and campervans, there are electric hardstanding pitches complete with 10 amp electric and water hook up. For a more luxurious experience, the site offers contemporary and modern boutique ensuite Pod Cabins and Hill Top Lodges (sleeping two-six). Each accommodation features a comfy sitting room with TV, electrics, and a sofa that easily converts into a bedroom with a full-size comfortable bed. Larger pods are available with additional beds. Some pods and lodges even have a full kitchen, while all feature a microwave, fridge, and drink making facilities.

Facilities and amenities

All glamping units have their own ensuite toilet and shower facilities.

Site facilities include showers and toilets for campers. There is also an on-site farm shop selling local produce, treats, and essentials. Other facilities include an indoor games room with billiards and table tennis, a children's play area, laundry facilities, bike hire and a phone charging point.

During high season, there is a vintage marquee bar and pizza van (please note, this is held on set dates only). Free Wi-Fi is available.

Grocery shops and pubs are just a five minute drive away including Morrisons, Sainsburys and Aldi. The closest pub is the Royal Standard.

FAQ

Guests are welcome to check-in from 2pm until 6pm for camping and touring, and between 3:30pm and 6pm for glamping. Please advise the site if you are delayed. Check out is due before noon on your final day for camping and touring and 10am for glamping.

Yes, four-legged friends are welcome to join you on your stay, however they are not allowed in the glamping accommodation.

Raised BBQs are permitted, perfect for al fresco dining in the evenings. Sorry, campfires are not permitted.

Yes, free WiFi is available onsite.

A gazebo may be brought for a small extra fee, and an awning is welcome free of charge. Sorry pup tents are not permitted.

Your setting on the Jurassic Coast is perfect for walks and access to the South West Coast Path. For a beach day, head down to the sandy beach at Weymouth (15 minutes). Plus the views are breathtaking at sunset.

Sun yourself on popular Chesil Beach (15 minutes), or snap photos of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door (30 minutes).

This is an ideal place for the outdoorsy, where you can get stuck in with kayaking, sailing, horse riding, hiking or cycling. A short way from the coast is Maiden Castle, an Iron Age wonder that is very well preserved.
