Return visit

Third visit to the site since December. Warm welcome from staff and facilities kept clean at all times. Great walk to Martinstown from site, passing Hardy Monument. Will be back for more walks soon. Highly recommended.

100% recommend!

Lovely campsite. So clean and the toilets are immaculate! Good communication prior to arrival and lovely pitch for our van when we arrived. The added bonus of fresh milkshakes and orange juice in the mornings was amazing! We already can't wait to rebook.

Return trip

I returned for a second weekend and what a great site. Staff really friendly and remembered me from my previous trip. Lots of walks and staff were great at giving directions and ideas of places to walk. Hardy Monument is a great place to walk from the site. Clean and quiet. I will be returning in the new year.

Lovely place

First time we have stayed here and loved it! Staff very friendly and there to help. Great pitch and lovely dog walking field. Abbots Bury was a beautiful walk down the old train track which we picked up near from the campsite. Nearby there was a pub which had amazing food. There was also great coffee and cake at the Duck farm shop. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect!

Brilliant campsite in a great location to travel to Weymouth beach and local attractions, with lovely views and well looked after pitches and facilities! Nicest facilities I've seen at a campsite, cleaned regularly and such a peaceful site.

very well equiped location.

I loved this campingsite. The lady at the reception was very kind and helpfull. The pitches are of good size and has supply of water and electricity. The units for toilets and sinks were very very clean as well as the showers. they were supersonic. Very conveniend were the vending machines and the farmshop nearby. I would love to return.

Faultless site

This site is highly recommended. The toilets and showers are spotless and roomy as is the whole site. Loved the vending machines area (open 24 hrs) that sells a variety of breakfast needs (sausages, bacon, cereal, bread etc) , freshly squeezed orange juice, milk/milkshakes, hot drinks and snacks. Dog walk area is of a good size with a welcome stream for them to cool off in. A small park area seemed a hit with the younger children. Very friendly staff, always waving you in and out. The site is in a good location for Weymouth, Bridport, Abbotsbury and Dorchester. Hardy's monument is a must to visit. The Swan Inn at Dorchester serves a fantastic carvery. If I could give this site 20 ⭐ I would. We will definitely be back!

Pleasant stay at Portesham

Would have preferred a fully serviced pitch but none available at time of booking.

Great site, welcoming and friendly staff, excellent location

We booked the site last minute on the day of arrival. The welcoming and friendly reception team knew of our arrival and had emailed us the pitch number beforehand. The facilities are excellent and very clean. The site is in the pretty village and close to a good farm shop and pub. The location is good for the lovely walk to the Hardy Monument with the pub on the way back. The site is very dog-friendly with a good large exercise area. It is our first time at the site and we could only stay one night this trip, but we will definitely be back.

First outing

This was our first trip out in our caravan and chose this site as it was close to home. Made very welcome on arrival and set up quickly. Found the on site vending shop very clean and provided everything need if required. Took our own milk bottle. Toilet and shower block very clean and well thought out no taps but sensors. Whole site is very clean and well laid out for all abilities. Will return for another stay in 24.

Easter break

The site was easy enough to find, but quite a narrow road coming down by the pub! A lovely site with very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are excellent and clean, the farm shop/cafe and pub are a couple of minutes walk away.

Simply amazing!

A beautiful campsite set in beautiful grounds. Well kept, clean and tidy with amazing facilities. Top marks to whoever's idea it was to install the vending machines. The staff are friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back.

Well run site in a great location

Good facilities kept spotless. Pitches reasonably spaced, so didn't feel crowded. Adjacent to dog walking field, access to railway path to Abbotsbury and multiple walking routes.

Quality site

This site had everything that we needed. Clean shower and toilet block. The staff were all so cheerful and helpful. Location was perfect for local scenic points. Will definitely be returning.

Christmas at Portesham Dairy Farm Campsite

A fantastic stay at Portesham Dairy Farm Campsite for Christmas. A very secure site with immaculate facilities, friendly reception staff and no problem on arrival being directed to our pitch. The toilets, shower block and washrooms are spotless with instant hot water for cleaning. Great location with a dog friendly pub (Kings Arms) just a couple of hundred metres away (very good food). The site also has a well stocked vending area for fresh milk etc. Would certainly recommend this site as a base to explore Dorset.

Really lovely site

Stopped in Portesham for a night while driving to see family for Christmas. The site was so easy to access and find our plot, so it didn't matter we arrived late evening. Toilet facilities were exceptionally clean and modern. Lovely little village and a nice walk for the dogs straight out of the site. Extra nice touch with coffee and vending machines at the front of the site, so we could get drinks before hitting the road. Staff were really friendly. Finally, super easy to just drive out the next morning and be on our way. Overall lovely site with clean and modern toilet and shower facilities. Would recommend and will likely visit again ourselves.

First time camping

My first camping trip in a new van and I had a great stay. The staff were great and on hand for any of my novice questions. The site was quiet and clean. There are great walks directly from the site, which are well suited to dog owners. The dog walking field on site is large and a great addition. The Kings Arms pub is close by. I recommend booking online, as they get very busy. Looking forward to returning soon.
