Just a short drive from the coast and World Heritage sites of the Jurassic period, the site borders the rural village of Portesham, and offers walks across rolling Dorset close at hand. The setting is steeped in history but a touch of the modern is available nearby at Weymouth and Dorchester.

The campground has a wonderful family-run atmosphere and is ideal for quiet travellers or small groups. A small playground is placed conveniently close to a number of pitches, allowing parents to easily keep an eye on children while the little ones play.

Pitches are available in four main types : hard standing pitches, hard standing super pitches, grass pitches and grass super pitches. Visitors also have the option of serviced, semi serviced and standard pitches.

Selected pitches are available with a 16 Amp electric hook up point, individual water tap and waste water drainage. Alternately a 10 Amp electrical hookup point can be offered, with water from communal tap points on site. Camping field sites benefit from a free range style, allowing great flexibility in tent size, shape etc. so that any visitor can pitch easily.

Friendly dogs are welcome at Portesham Dairy Farm, and not only that, but a local dog groomer visits the site offering everything from bubble baths to full grooming services for purchase. Caravan sitters can also be hired for dogs while owners are out for the day. Caravan storage and towing can also be arranged.

Visitors are in easy walking distance of the charming village of Portesham where the Kings Arms serves up award-winning local dishes and Duck's Farm Shop tempts visitors with deli and café treats.

The park is open from mid March until the end of October.
