It's not a fancy, salubrious site, but nor is it basic. The field is level and well-cared for. The bays are clearly defined, often separated by areas where the grass and flowers have been deliberately allowed to grow to a height which provides a welcome degree of privacy. The showers are clean and efficient; they don't take long to warm up. A separate urinals unit is also appreciated. There are ample shower rooms and WCs for the number of guests even in busy times. While there is no on-site shop, nor any entertainment area, the town is less than a 10 minute walk away; we found a pub with welcoming staff, good food and a range of beers and ciders; there was a post office and a convenience store; a bus ( hourly) took us to Stroud for more adventurous shopping. The area around offers a range of interesting small towns and also some beautiful country walks. Lucy was an extremely helpful host, even loaning us an electricity cable as we'd (ok, I'd...) forgotten ours. We had a peaceful and highly enjoyable stay.
Lucy the host is very welcoming!

Good things about this site: could start walks from the site, short walk to the village, loved the shower block - clean and lots of separate units with privacy. Free freezer to freeze our ice cubes for the gin! I think the washing machine may have been free too.. Poo bags and bin supplied for the dog area. Clean, well maintained site. Useful info sheet provided on arrival. The Crown Inn in the village was friendly and welcoming - recommend a visit there! Bad things: none!

We loved our stay here. The facilities are spotless and feel brand new. The pitches are really well kept, big and private. The site is lovely, beautiful 360 degree skies and so peaceful. Lucy is a delight to meet and looks after her guests really well. The village is pretty and has all you need within walking distance and there are some beautiful hiking trails from the site. Cannot fault this place, we will definitely return.

Lucy greeted us as soon as we arrived and took us down to the paddock where we will be staying, we chose where to pitch our tent and put it south facing to get the sun, Lucy explained about the toilet and shower blocks and that there is also somewhere that you can wash up after eating, the toilets and showers was extremely clean and cleaned every day, the water was nice and hot every time you took a shower, there are electric points and a fridge and freezer if you needed them. The camp site was perfect nice and peaceful and well maintained from Lucy and the team, all the other campers was respectful and friendly throughout our stay at Tobacconist farm, there is a 10 minute walk to the town where there is a nice pub and a few shops and a local market on a Wednesday morning, Morrisons is only a 10 minute drive if you forget or need anything whilst you are there, The camp site itself is ideal if you need that get away from your everyday life where you can totally relax with peace and quiet, I would highly recommend this camp site if you are looking for that perfect getaway, 10 out of 10 for Lucy and her team for what they have created in an ideal country setting. Many thanks Mr Mrs Steadman

We loved our stay, it was a lovely site. Very peaceful with lovely views. Particularly enjoyed meeting Alan the donkey! The facilities were always very clean and more than enough for the site. We never had to wait. Lucy was very welcoming, letting us know about the local market and places too. The farm has lovely places nearby to visit and we used it as a base to explore some of the nearby towns and pubs. We also used the wood delivery for our fire one night, which was really handy.

Entrance to site a bit untidy. The actual site where pitches are, however, is very well organised. Lovely large pitches and separated by long grassy humps. The whole site is adult only. You have your own electric and water on each pitch. Toilets and showers were some of the best we have ever used, lots of hot water and very clean. Dog walking area a bit disappointing, as not very large. Lucy the owner is very friendly and helpful. The site is very quiet, just right for relaxing and enjoying the break. I would recommend this site to family and friends.

First impression was not great, but go through the farmyard area and the site itself is beautiful. We had a mix up regarding electricity, but owner was very accommodating and sorted the issue immediately. Facilities basic, but everything you need - water, electricity, hot and plentiful showers, kitchen area (although we did not use that) with washing machine (again did not use). Although no grey water drain, owner was happy for us to let it drain into the ground. Donkeys a delight. Short walk into village with shop, pub, chemist etc. The area is fantastic, particularly for walkers, dog owners, cyclists. Recommend for people who want peace and quiet and who want to explore the local area either by car/foot.
An absolute gem

Our group had a wonderful time at this camp. Lucy the owner is a wonderful host and she made us feel welcome immediately. The site is well kept and has a little dog walk path, making it easy to have a pup about. The shower and toilet facilities are well done and clean. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed at this site for 3 nights. The tent pitches were good sizes, ground soft so no need for rock pegs. The facilities are spotless, hot showers, toilet block, outdoor sink for dishes & an indoor kitchen with freezer where you can re freeze your ice blocks. The owner Lucy, made us so welcome, clearly cares about her guests and the campsite. This was definitely the nicest campsite we have been to and will definitely return.
Another lovely stay

Lucy is a brilliant owner, and can't do enough for you to make your stay go as smoothly as possible. The shower area and toilets are spotless and there is a washing area which we did not use, but looked fab. We will be back again. Gail and Darren.

Absolutely blown away by the generosity and kindness of the host. Lucy went out of her way to give us the best pitch and stay possible. It was raining when we arrived and we were given the option to pitch under a giant marquee (still up from a party), that Lucy delayed putting down so we could stay dry. This happened to be in a field all on its own too! Toilet & shower block was always spotless and warm, even in the middle of the night. The location was spot on. Local shops, cafés and a pub just 5 minutes away and lots of lovely walks. The best camping set-up we've ever had. Thank you.

The owner was pleasant and helpful. The site is spacious and rural, yet a 5 minute walk to the village shops, cafe and pub. The shower block seems new. 2 comments: It would be nice if visitors were allowed. I also could not get hot water at the dishwashing sinks, not sure why.

Fabulous location to camp. Lovely clean showers and toilets and never feels crowded. Scenic, quiet and within 5 minutes walk to miles of great countryside. Lucy the host was brilliant along with her son and they also lent us a gas hob as we forgot ours (thanks again!). Highly recommended, definitely worth a visit, don't miss out!

The site and pitch were excellent and the facilities first class, clean and in good order. The site location is great for access to the town which has a super butchers, general store and excellent pub/restaurant at The Crown. The site is central also for touring around the Cotswolds or for visiting Cirencester and Stroud especially.

Lovely, well maintained, small site with a lovely owner. Big pitches each with a water tap and electric hook up. Lots of spotless showers and lots of little extras as well, such as poo bags in the dog walk area, plastic gloves at elsan point, and a washing machine and fridge freezer in the dishwashing point. The site is really close to the village with shop, butchers, pub, cafes, fish and chip shop. Fab walking in Minchinhampton Common. It's huge. Lovely pubs and amazing views. Access is through a sort of small holding where a couple of people obviously live full time in various motorhomes. Looked a bit odd and at first we thought we had made a mistake booking, but I can honestly say the site was perfect.

Thank you! I do joke that people wonder where they’re going until they actually enter the campsite. It’s hidden secret!
