About Lee Valley Campsite Sewardstone

This campsite is the perfect mix of a country and city break in the London/Essex area. Just 30 minutes from the capital, yet set it glorious countryside between the King George Reservoir and the Epping Forest, you truly get the best of both worlds! The site offers a great range of pitches catering for backpackers and cyclists, all the way to RVs. The smallest pitches allow only one camper coming with a small tent and there are only eight on site. For tent campers, there is the option of one of the 18 non electric or the eight electric grass pitches. Each of these pitches measures 7m x 5m with up to six people welcome per pitch. If you're taking a family road trip in your caravan, motorhome or RV there's a wide range of spacious pitches for you to enjoy onsite. Touring pitches each have a 10 amp electric hook up available, some being fully serviced and hardstanding, ranging from 3.5m x 7m up to 3.5m x 13m for RVs. For anyone wanting to travel light, the pods could be perfect. The camping pods, also known as Cocoons, give you some of the comforts of home and more protection from the elements than a tent can offer. Each sleeping up to two, choose whether you would like a double or twin beds for your pod. Each pod comes with a small table, electric sockets and a kettle for that important morning brew. Even more spacious are the camping cabins which sleep up to two adults and two children. The cabins come with a double bed with a single bunk, a foldaway camp bed, a coffee table, a fridge and a kettle. All cocoons and cabins come with heating and electricity. Please note, bedding is not provided for the glamping units and shared facilities can be found nearby. For nights in the open, BBQ and fire pit hire is available. You may also bring your own BBQ but it must be raised off the ground. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to two welcome per pitch and in the pet friendly glamping units.

The site is open all year round except for February.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (7m)Oct 2024

Nice site, a good location for central London. There was a bus service on site to London and near to the train station. The shop on site and the showers were good. I would go again if visiting London👍

Excellent site

Glamping Cabin - Camping Cabin (Pet Friendly)Sep 2024

Already booked two more stays for when I'm working away from home and in the area, I have also recommended to others. It's reasonably close to the motorway and major routes, I made it into central London in about 40 minutes one evening, but it's still in a nice quiet location. I'm looking forward to returning next week.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (7m)Sep 2024

Nice site. The only little thing is the shower blocks were not lit up enough, taking a shower nearly in the dark on the evening. Very helpful staff. Good access to London, if only the trains were running when we needed them.
