Perfect for a family getaway in the New Forest is Oakdene Forest Park, set just a few minutes from Ringwood. Alongside an impressive array of facilities with indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, water activities and entertainment - there's both relaxed tent camping and a selection of holiday accommodation. It's a top base for exploring the South Coast and just a quick drive from beaches at Bournemouth and Mudeford Quay.
About Oakdene Forest Park
The park is attractive, peaceful and ideally located for a relaxing Dorset break. It's close to the eastern edge of the county and very spacious, with more than 50 landscaped acres. All this borders charming river meadows and the lovely Hurn Forest (a good place for dog walking). Tent camping offers guests the choice of two areas. The Sporting Field is generally flat and suits tents up to 7m in marked pitches. Alternatively, The Meadow is an informal camping spot without designated pitches, which will suit any size of tent and offers slightly more uneven grassed areas. The park also includes a stylish range of holiday accommodation and static caravans which are all fully furnished and self contained.
Camping is available during the school holidays from 28th May - 6th June and 23rd July - 31st August. Self catering accommodation is open year round.
Site facilities include a fully stocked supermarket, launderette, hot showers and toilets. Oakdene has heated indoor and outdoor pools (outdoor pool open in the summer), a children's play area, a sauna and steam room, a great range of Go Active activities and a gym. Entertainment is provided on the park in peak season.
There is also a bar, restaurant, games arcade, adventure golf and TV lounge. WiFi is available across the park.
