Exploring this vibrant market town in Hampshire is a real treat. Dating back as far as Anglo-Saxon times, Ringwood has moved with the times and become one of the region’s prettiest spots.

The Go Ape Moors Valley course is a must for families looking for a fun physical challenge that all ages can enjoy.

The course includes obstacles such as zip wires, a Tarzan swing, and rope wires. Those looking for more thrills can try their scariest attraction, Walk the Plank.

There is also the opportunity to explore the nearby forest on a fun Segway ride.

Older kids looking to get behind the wheel can visit South Coast Karting. Families can race each other on a fast and fun race course that is sure to put a smile on contestants’ faces.

If driving isn’t for you, be sure to visit New Forest Water Park, the U.K’s first inflatable aqua park entirely outdoors. Kids are spoilt for choice with a massive 80m course and obstacles such as monkey bars, trampolines and a climbing wall.  

For something a little quieter, take a walk through nature at Blashford Lakes. The peaceful surrounding makes for a great afternoon birdwatching.

Also consider the nearby Avon River for a pleasant stroll or enquire about the Ringwood & District Anglers Association.    

A leisurely cycle through New Forest National Park is not to be missed. Ringwood is situated close to this quaint setting where you can bring your own bikes or simply hire a set of wheels.  

Young animal lovers will find Liberty’s Owl Raptor and Reptile Centre fascinating. Here you’ll find many birds of prey including vultures, hawks and falcons.

If you’re not content with birds, the centre also has a collection of intriguing reptiles in its reptile house.

Beer lovers won’t want to miss Ringwood’s renowned brewery. Take a tour of this brewery for an interesting look at how beer is made as well as a free drink.

Just outside of Ringwood, the Bournemouth Aviation Musuem gives kids the opportunity to sit at the controls of an actual plane or follow an intriguing aviation trail.

Close to the museum is Adventure Wonderland. Perfect for youngsters, this wonderland takes inspiration from temples in Cambodia and has 30 rides and attractions.

Adventure Wonderland also has an indoor play area meaning that cloudy or rainy weather won’t stand in the way of fun.

Further out of Ringwood is the Burley Village of Witches Mystery Treasure Trail. Well worth a visit for a unique experience searching for clues around the village.
